Changing Up

Hi fellow Ranters,

Today I've come at a split in some ways.

Changing Up

One of the crazy things that happen sometimes in life is coming to a point where we have to make a decision and that decision is one that we have to see through, for good or worse.

It's only been a few days since I've started, as of this writing, but I've started a new job. The job is definitely one that's a direction I've been looking to head to but some circumstances came up and I made the change a bit faster than I initially wanted to.

Sometimes it seems pretty scary to make these types of things, especially because the factors that are now at play for us make it a whole lot more important that it doesn't get screwed up lol. I used to think that I could adapt very well to change and I know I can but maybe it's the circumstances that bothered me and left an unsettling feeling in my stomach.

Thankfully as time goes on, things get better and I settle into it all. The first few hours of it, I was asking myself "did I make a mistake?" but those feelings have slowly dissipated for most of it. There's still some lingering doubt but I'm trying to push those thoughts out because they aren't conducive to starting a new job with folks that don't know you as well as your previous employer did.

I'm hoping that I can settle into a good rhythm soon, perhaps that's what's nagging me, not knowing what I have to do each day yet.

Thank you! It's getting better, though there are some tough parts here and there. Hopefully it should work out in the end though!

How is your health?

It's going to be a good choice when you don't think about the comforts the previous work had to offer. Having a fair share of odd jobs made each one a novel experience. Some jobs start out great but then lose their magic with the routine and time passing. Have fun on the new one :>

Yeah, I agree. The only thing that's a little tricky is that at my previous job, they couldn't handle it without me lol. I obviously left and they are up shits creek without a paddle but it wasn't for lack of me trying to work with them. Toxic decisions make toxic results, something they don't seem to understand. With my new job, I'm just looking for that provability I suppose. I know it will eventually come but just being out there learning things has me a little nervous.

Thankfully the week improved from when I wrote this and it's still improving. Hoping things work out for the best! I know a friend on here made a change in his job and said the first week was awful but then it got better lol. I guess we are just nervous of change sometimes!

Thanks! I’m certainly hoping so. It’s an odd feeling but I’m trying to make the most of it. With my free time I’ve been trying to learn things that I have accessible to me now even though they might not be relevant to my current job. Gotta insulate just in case!
