What a Day!! I think it was only bad luck
Hello people, I have been watching some posts complaining here in this community, so I wanted to try to write out what happened to me today. It's just a little talk...
Early this morning, I was going to buy some vegetables near where I live. everything was ok, the day was a little sunny, not too many people around, the perfect time to buy things without worrying about queuing to pay.
I bought some tomatoes, potatoes and onions (only those things? yeah haha fuck). Then when I was going back to my home, on the sidewalk was a sewer that has been there for the 13 years I have been living here, and not only that, this sewer is so small that I think you have 0.1% chance of falling there, and you know what? this unlucky fucker is inside that percent of probability hahaha my leg fit perfectly into that hole!
I really can't believe it, I was too distracted thinking shit in my head to see that hole that it has been 13 fucking years on the sidewalk!! and then I just get stuck there for a couple of seconds... I'm trying to laugh about that because why not? it's better than crying haha, but I'm here complaining.

Hopefully like I said there weren't too many people so I didn't feel embarrassed (or just a little). I got up quickly so no one could see me, but instantly when I came out of that hole my knee started to hurt a little so I went home half lame.
My knee is ok now, but at that moment the pain was a bit annoying, I just applied a topic anti-inflammatory and some bad words.
At least today it was Saturday and I normally don't do too much in the house on the weekends, so I have been chilling all day like always. If I´m honest, I was so pissed of at the beginning, like, why this shit is happening to me? but after a couple of minutes when I was in my house and the pain went off, it was so funny to think about that haha, so I immediately thought on share this. (yeap, I went out outside again to take a photo of the sewer hahaha)
At this time my leg doesn't hurt too much so I think I will be fine to go to the clinic on Monday. I'm thankful that nobody witness that embarrassing moment xD or that's what I want to think, and the funny thing is that all was for a couple of vegetables... bruh.

ENGAGEtokens.Oh man! That situation definitely warrants a post, I reckon! I hate when things like that happen, you've known about something for a really long time but it's when you are the most distracted that you end up having it bite you in some way. Thankfully you didn't break your leg, that hole seems like it's big enough for that to happen!
We have a hole like that in our area and I'm waiting for somebody to get hurt on it, hopefully not our son! I am always reminding him to be careful of it, no one needs to hurt themselves because a company doesn't want to fix their mistake.

Yes! I totally thought that a couple of minutes later, it creeps me out when I think about it, Ugh.
That's right, they don't fix something until it starts to make them lose money.

I just saw a documentary about Venezuela yesterday, a newer one. I know about the issues for a while, but this one was about vacation in a "failed state". It is just crazy what happened to your country period.
They showed a broken ticket machine in Caracas and instead of repairing it they just let everybody drive around for free. Which is good when you think how the situation is but it was devastating to see a country being destroyed like that by only a handful of people within a few years.
Every 7th Venezuelan has left the country already, for good reasons, but the people in the countries where they migrate too often don't see those reasons and then you have the issue of refugees not being welcome.
It is a vicious circle, no matter where on earth. Sadly.
But still your little story made me giggle. I would have laughed my ass off if it would have happened to me, of course only if nobody gets hurt.

Yeah, the government set free or almost free many things here like public transport, water, electricity and gas services but everything is malfunctioning because of that. It's like my university, I don't pay a single dollar to study but I'm paying with years of my life haha😂 the government don't give them the minimum resources to operate well and now they touch the bottom and it's been like 5 months that we haven't seen any classes (and keep counting).
I laugh at everyone's misfortunes as long as they don't happen to me haha

Yeah it's crazy.
I just got my water/electricity bill from last year and have to pay additional 500€ because I used more by being home all year. The gas prices just went up and people like me living off the social help are starting to struggle.
We do get the rent payed plus 400€ a month for food and everything else (phone bills, gas, everything you have to pay for besides the rent)
So it is not much and it has to last for 2 people. So pretty much 50€/week/person for everything.
My car needs an inspection but I don't really know how to pay for it but I have time till August.
You are eligible for help here if you don't have anything anymore. I used all my savings before I could apply and it is bittersweet. Once this is over we are totally broke.
Could be worse I guess but still sucks bad.
yeap, I always think like that, things could be worse and thank god I still have some facilities here above other people that really are going through a difficult time. but as you say, still sucks..

And then you have the few in the world taking a profit out of it and the handful of people with billions and billions in their bank accounts while 99% of the worlds population suffer like shit.
No wonder we will have more social unrests coming up, but even that is for the benefit of the few rich in the world.
Wars, pandemics etc is the most profitable business, so I highly doubt that there will be a change.
How can it be that a few hold power over the world? It always blows my mind digging into that topic.
That happened a lot to me as a kid! and it was so funny xD but of course, I cried.
