La teoría de las ventanas rotas, conductismo y otras realidades en Hive (Iniciativa #Rules4Voting) [EN/ES]

Saludos a todos, bienvenidos a mi blog, hoy voy a escribirles sobre la iniciativa #Rules4Voting de @ElPausero la pueden leer aquí, es muy interesante, para los que no lo conocen, o no han leído sus iniciativas es un muchacho chévere, que quiere subir la calidad de las publicaciones que posteamos, quiere colocar la vara un poco más alto, y en lo personal creo que es hacia allá hacia donde debemos apuntar todos, a la excelencia.

Como leyeron en mi título hablo un poco sobre la teoría de los vidrios rotos, o las ventanas rotas, para los que no conocen este término; Se trata de un estudio psicológico y social que se realizó, donde se colocaron 2 vehículos en dos zonas totalmente diferentes, uno en una zona peligrosa y el otro en una zona tranquila de estrato alto, en el sector bajo se colocó el carro sin placas y abierto paso poco tiempo antes de que empezaran robarlo, y al cabo de pocos días estaba desvalijado, mientras en el estrato alto el auto permaneció intacto durante varios días eso parece predecible ¿no?

Pero no quedo allí, los investigadores procedieron a romper una ventana del auto intacto en el sector tranquilo, y a darle algunos golpes y al poco tiempo quedo igual de la otra zona, desvalijado, ¿qué produjo ese cambio? Las personas se comportan en un entorno según como lo perciben, si usted ve un sitio limpio y cuidado, no se atreverá a ensuciarlo. ¿cómo aplica esto a hive?

Es simple en realidad, cuando llegamos a este blog lo que conseguimos, el tipo de publicaciones que veamos que son votadas, les indicaran a los usuarios nuevos como comportarse, que se espera de ellos, es por eso que es importante que todos intentemos mantener un estándar alto, donde todos seamos garantes y árbitros de que esto se cumpla, para que la plataforma se mantea vigente durante muchos años más. ¿Cómo garantizamos esto? A través de nuestra formación, criterios como creadores de contenido, y como curadores.

Por esto lo primero que debemos definir son las reglas para votar, y en sintonía a esto voy respondiendo las preguntas elaboradas por @ElPausero.

¿Qué es lo que más valoras en una publicación?

La dedicación, hay muchas publicaciones a las que se les nota el tiempo y el esfuerzo, desde que se estuvo macerando la idea, hasta el desarrollo, esto se traduce en originalidad, profundidad, en calidad. Podría buscar muchas definiciones para el significado de calidad, pero hoy yo les diré como se mide en mi profesión.

La calidad en la hotelería se mide, al superar las expectativas de los clientes y usuarios.

En Hive, sería un tema tan interesante que me nace recomendarlo, comentar, compartir, una receta que de verdad quiera hacer, algo que genuinamente ayude, o la contemplación de una obra verdaderamente fascinante.

¿Cómo decides qué porcentaje de tu poder de voto usar para cada post? ¿Votas a todos por igual?

Por los momentos tengo poco poder de voto así que voto al 100% apuntando a tener una mayor cantidad en su momento votaría según:

*El esfuerzo y tiempo que le dedican (pintar un cuadro, o tejer una bufanda no se hace en media hora)

*Por profundidad, originalidad del tema y un buen desarrollo del mismo.

*Por el esfuerzo de hacerlo en 2 idiomas, esto es algo que lleva bastante tiempo cuando no se domina la segunda lengua, por ello para mí es demostrar el verdadero intento por comunicarnos, por llegar a más personas.

*Por las imágenes usadas, si son propias mejor, en caso de que no lo sean que se le de crédito al autor, y que realmente se relacionan con el tema.

Creo que entre esos 4 puntos serian 25% cada uno, y si una publicación cumple con todo le daría 100%. Con esto también contesto no, no votaría todo por igual, y no tendría problema en votar al 100% a esas personas maravillosa que esta dando lo mejor de sí en la plataforma.

¿Entiendes que si das más votos al 100% (a las personas correctas) ayudas a que Hive cuente con más curadores y sea una plataforma mucho más libre y representativa?

Si , lo entiendo y espero que lleguemos a esto, donde nosotros seamos artífices de esa calidad, y mientras seamos más especialistas seamos en diferentes áreas, mejor podríamos apreciar y curar sobre los temas que manejamos o nos apasionan.

Ahora cambiando un poco el tema, llegamos a la responsabilidad como creadores, aquí viene la lucha interna con el conductismo, ¿quién no conoce el experimento de Pavlov? Estoy segura que no hace falta explicar, como a través de estímulos, refuerzos positivos o negativos, moldemos la conducta que deseamos, y es que ¿quién no desea una recompensa tras hacer un esfuerzo? como seres humanos estamos llenos de necesidades, y casi en la punta de la pirámide de Maslow esta la necesidad de reconocimiento.

¿Entiendes qué el flujo del dinero en HiveBlog puede condicionar el comportamiento de la comunidad?

Si entiendo, sé que debemos tener cuidado de hacia donde nos conducen estas recompensas, como modifica nuestra forma de escribir, de pensar y de sentir, no vayamos a terminar representados con un Bad Bunny como compositor del año. (Profecía tardía, disculpen).

¿El voto en tu publicación te hizo mejorar la calidad y motivarte? ¿O empezaste a postear más cosas similares para seguir siendo votado?

Si, al principio si me motivo muchísimo y me animo a mantener una buena calidad; Pero después me dijeron que estudiara los hábitos de votos y casi que de sueño de las ballenas, (personas con gran poder de voto) y si hay algunos temas que también me gustan, pero cuando empecé decidí y dije sobre que iba a escribir, y quise mantenerme fiel a eso.

¿Cuándo preparas tus publicaciones piensas en un curador en específico?

Al inicio si pensaba en uno especifico, esperaba que me votara Appreciator, que le gustara mi contenido; Pero eso no cambio mi forma de escribir, en mis ultimas publicaciones no he tenido su voto, pero tuve un post con 555 votos que me tienes más que feliz, espero que les haya sacado una sonrisa, y los pueda ayudar. Al final del día recuerdo que todos somos curadores, y ahora espero que todos disfruten de mi contenido, manteniéndome siempre fiel a mí misma.

As you read in my title, I talk a bit about the theory of broken glass, or broken windows, for those of you who don't know this term; This is a psychological and social study that was done, where 2 vehicles were placed in two totally different areas, one in a dangerous area and the other in a quiet area of high stratum, in the low sector the car was placed without plates and opened, shortly before it started to be stolen, and after a few days it was stripped, while in the high stratum the car remained intact for several days that seems predictable right?

But it didn't stay there, the investigators proceeded to break a window of the car intact in the quiet sector, and to give it some blows and soon it was the same of the other area, stripped, what produced that change? People behave in an environment as they perceive it, if you see a clean and careful place, you will not dare to dirty it. How does this apply to hive?

It's simple really, when we get to this blog, what we find, the kind of posts that we see being voted on, will tell new users how to behave, what is expected of them, that's why it's important that we all try to maintain a high standard, where we are all guarantors and referees that this is fulfilled, so that the platform stays in place for many years to come. How do we guarantee this? Through our training, and criteria as content creators and as curators.

For this reason the first thing we must define is the rules for voting, and in line with this I am answering the questions prepared by @ElPausero.

What do you value most in a publication?

The dedication, there are many publications to which the time and the effort are noted, since the idea was macerated, until the development, this is translated in originality, depth, in quality. I could look up many definitions for the meaning of quality, but today I will tell you how it is measured in my profession.

We measure quality in the hotel industry by exceeding the expectations of customers and users.

In Hive, it would be such an interesting topic that I would recommend it, comment, share, a recipe that I really want to do, something that genuinely helps, or the contemplation of a truly fascinating work.

How do you decide what percentage of your voting power to use for each post? Do you vote for everyone equally?

At the moment I have little voting power so I vote 100% aiming to have a higher amount, at the time I would vote based on:

*The effort and time spent (painting a picture, or knitting a scarf is not done in half an hour)

*For the depth, originality of the theme and a good development of it.

*Because of the effort to do it in 2 languages, this is something that takes quite a long time when you don't master the second language, so for me it is to demonstrate the real attempt to communicate, to reach more people.

*For the images used, if they are your own best, in case they are not, give credit to the author, and if they really relate to the subject.

I think that between those 4 points it would be 25% each, and if a publication fulfills everything I would give it 100%. With this I also answer no, I would not vote all the same, and I would have no problem voting 100% for those wonderful people who are giving their best on the platform.

Do you understand that if you give more votes 100% (to the right people) you help Hive to have more curators and to be a much more free and representative platform?

Yes, I understand that and I hope that we will get to this, where we are the architects of that quality, and the more specialists we are in different areas, the better we will be able to appreciate and heal on the issues we deal with or are passionate about.

Now changing the subject a little bit, we come to the responsibility as creators, here comes the internal struggle with behaviorism, who does not know Pavlov's experiment? I am sure that it is not necessary to explain how, through stimuli, positive or negative reinforcements, we mold the behavior we desire, and that is, who does not want a reward after making an effort? As human beings we are full of needs, and almost at the top of Maslow's pyramid is the need for recognition.

Do you understand that the flow of money on HiveBlog can condition the behavior of the community?

I do understand, I know that we have to be careful where these rewards lead us, how they modify our writing, thinking and feeling, let's not end up represented with a Bad Bunny as composer of the year. (Late prophecy, sorry).

Did the vote on your publication make you better and more motivated, or did you start posting more similar things to keep getting voted on?

Yes, at first I was very motivated and encouraged to maintain a good quality; but then I was told to study the voting and almost sleeping habits of the whales, (people with great voting power) and yes there are some issues that I also like, but when I started I decided and said what I was going to write about, and I wanted to stay true to that.

When you prepare your publications do you think of a specific curator?

At the beginning, it was for a specific one, I hoped I would be voted by Appreciator, that he would like my content; but that didn't change my way of writing, in my last publications I haven't had his vote, but I had a post with 555 votes that I am more than happy with, I hope it brought a smile to your face, and I can help you.
