Trade Routes - Original Music on Egyptian Oud
(Edited)
Here is an original composition on my Egyptian oud. It started out as a improvisation on the oud then I added five drum tracks via my Roland Handsonic. Three of the tracks are a sample of an udu drum and the other two are a hand pan.
Overall the song has a feel of an ancient international trader traveling on their route. I added map background video footage by caelan on pixabay https://pixabay.com/users/caelan-1280...
Thanks for listening :-)

Thanks @montycashmusic :-)
As always awesome! How you made this background? I cant find in premier eraser function.
The background was just some pixabay footage. For the top videos I made a mask to bring in transparency.
Here's a tut on how to do masks in premier https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/creating-masks-in-premiere-pro/
I like it a lot! Question, are you using a metronome, or you play the guitar track freestyle, and the drums are added after? If so, you keep great time.
The oud was recorded without a metronome. This really was just a warmup improvisation I started recording in prep for another song. Fortunately when I listened to it again it was passable enough of a take to add drums to it.
Right on, I applaud your many talents 😎
Thanks :-)
Dude, this is rockin' awesome! Really enjoy the way you're overlapping sounds this way, with visual support to show what we're hearing here.
Thanks for listening :-) suprisingly this one came together pretty easily pretty much everything in one take.
WOW!
Thanks for watching/listening :-)
And thank you very much too!
