I hope June treats you all well and that you and your family are safe, sheltered and healthy.

Despite the anxiety and stress of the last few months I am aware of how privileged I am. I live in a peaceful lovely part of France. I have a roof over my head and enough food to eat. I am also aware that how I look (white, male) brings me advantages (or at least fewer disadvantages) than others. I don’t know what to do apart from noticing these things, be aware of them and try to help people when and where I can.

Yesterday, I spent time in the co-operative artisanal shop. One of the artisans decided to leave (he actually took the decision before the lockdown) so when he left we needed to reorganise the space. My stand had been in the same place since the shop opened so I thought it was time to move.
