Soft fork is a hard fucking

Well y'all did it... no need to worry if STEEM is moving to the TRON blockchain.. STEEM is dead from the inside.. I don't claim to know a lot.. and absolutely zero about how the blockchain works. But when y'all decide to start freezing accounts and stealing people's stake you just switched from DpoS blockchain straight to POS blockchain.

Who's next to get fucked?

Peace out y'all. Dave

I don’t see it that way at all. The witnesses protected the chain itself by basically putting rules on that huge stake that really had just been a gentlemen’s agreement with Ned that he wouldn’t use that ninja mined stake to be used for voting witnesses. This was always a weak point of the system that they basically made trust less. They forced the conversation with Justin sun to the table and now actually getting something done. That is what the witnesses are for. I for one am glad to see the witnesses step up and do something. There was allot of conversation going on since the buy out announcement. Anyone could have participated in the talks, I did and I am not a witness. I fully support the decision. If anything it made the community stronger than ever. Just my thoughts though.

The witnesses protected themselves. They made sure they remain in control. Justin bought that stake. No one has any right to tell him what he can or cannot due with it. So it's okay if they fork out your stake next?

There is no comparison because I don't pose any kind of threat to the chain. If I posed a threat to the system like Justin sun does, then I would expect the witnesses to react and then I would in turn react the same way Justin did and realize, oh shit, I better listen to the people that actually hold this shit together... but that is just me...

We don't know for sure but I would bet that was not Justin reaction. I think he knows exactly what he bought and how it works and who "holds it together". In my opinion all this did was move all those witnesses to the top of his shitlist.
I don't know what the right move is exactly but I do know this was the wrong move.

Holy fuck what did I miss? So the Witnesses froze some account with several million dollars ripping off the Steem blockchain? What? I'm confused.

It's a joke. I'm giving all the witnesses that are running this a day or two to realize there mistake then I'm removing my vote if they still support this bullshit. @trumpman has a spot on view if you have no seen it yet.

Are you going to power down? What's your next move!

Absolutely not. Selling out at this point would would be stupid. I'll revisit this discussion with myself at $1 STEEM

I think they were doing their best to counter Ned's slimy move of selling us all out... who knows ... at this point I have bigger things to worry about :-/

It's in Sun's best interests to 1) Let Steem thrive and 2) do a better job than Nad (which should be pretty easy, esp. with his war-chest and connections)... so unless he's completely out of his mind, I'm somewhat optimistic... meh who knows though :D

How can he? The witnesses won't let him.. instead they chose to freeze his account. Imo that's a act of war

Maybe, but Justine's stated goal (from the start) of a forced token swap was way worser... what a cluster mess LOLZ

Crazy times!!

Hell yah preach it man! I have been trying to make sense of it in my periphery but I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. We want new blood here and an active stake doing something to stir stagnant waters.

I am with you.

I am 100% okay with this, Tron is basically piss running down your leg compared to Steem in regards to code. From a technical stand point this was very good to make.

I invite you to have a look at @lukestokes' short and concise vlog. He said everything that I think better than I could write.

when y'all decide to start freezing accounts and stealing people's stake...

No stakes have been stolen (from Justin) and won't ever be, except by Ned who had misused it for personal enrichment.

... you just switched from DpoS blockchain straight to POS blockchain.

No, we are still DelegatedPOS and you are free to exercise your right by removing your witness vote if you consider that this delegation is no longer in agreement with your opinion. That's what you did with your vote for me and I respect that.

This said @trumpman is absolutely right in his post. Witnesses should have reacted a long time ago, and we did as the code was already implemented for HF14, but not activated because when we talked about it, Ned started to move the funds away and it was too late.

I was much lower in the ranking at that time, as was the importance of my opinion. But this is no excuse.
