World Day Against Breast Cancer - Photoshoot πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈπŸ–πŸ€πŸ€πŸŽ—

Hello to all the #Hivers who pass through my #Blog, today I share something totally different from what I usually publish and it refers to a reflection for all women.

Today, October 19, ** World Day Against Breast Cancer ** is celebrated and, personally, it is a day where many surviving fighters celebrate it but unfortunately other women commemorate it.
Because it is such an important date, I join the initiative that is hanging around TΓ³cate's social networks and I want to create an initiative here at #Hive where they show their best photos supporting this great photographic campaign.

In this small photo session I want to show myself natural and cheerful, implying that exploring our body, touching ourselves, checking ourselves is a completely normal, natural practice and should be common since the first diagnosis is in our hands.

To continue with this campaign I would like to contribute by showing some primary symptoms of suspected breast cancer:

Symptoms

According to the World Health Organization there are several symptoms that could be a non-advanced cancer such as the following:

  • Breast pain
  • Swelling and redness of the areoles
  • Hardness in the breasts
  • Polka dots of unusual colors such as blue

However, there are other symptoms that could unfortunately be a more developed cancer.

  • Color change in the breasts, almost necrotic darkening.
  • Very severe pain.
  • Suppuration or fetid fluid secretions from the nipple.
  • Wrinkles or peeling of the skin.
  • Swollen axillary glands.
  • Lumps or prolonged deformations in the breast.

If you have any of these symptoms, it is important to go to the doctor as soon as possible to carry out the relevant tests.

Personal history

Every day I thank God and life because it allowed my beautiful mother to diagnose breast cancer in time.

It all started 6 years ago, my mother felt discomfort in her breasts but she attributed it to her overweight and perhaps hormonal problems, however one day she began to notice two blue moles that settled in the lower area of the breast, she thought quite curious and began to investigate5 about it. In google they say many things but as I always say "think wrong and you will be right" I asked my mother a lot to see that and she decided to go to the dermatologist to study that curious blue mole.

I never forget her expression when I got home after a long day at the Santa InΓ©s Medical Center, her watery eyes and her expression of my life is over, everything pointed to a breast cancer in process, however, I gave support to my mother and I told her that together we will get through this. We called our trusted gynecologist and her response was we're going to remove that mole at once, so let's get ready, and it was said and done.
Finally, after removing the mole, the biopsies came out negative with no trace of malignancy, meaning that my mother was diagnosed at the precise moment before the disease progressed.
