Little Lizard Enjoying the Sun

Good night, everyone!

Macro Photography is not my strength... but I have been experimenting a little bit with it, particularly when I find a good subject.

On this occasion I saw a cute lizard who was laying still, trying to get by unnoticed. That was good for me, as it allowed me to grab a few shots. 😎

This was the best shot of the session, I believe. It's even possible to see his eye looking in my direction:

The little guy realised I was pointing something at him, so he got a bit nervous:

Here are a couple more shots. These were the first photos I took, before I came too close of his personal space and made him jumpy.

He was enjoying a sun bath... but he wasn't sleeping. Or if he was, he was sleeping with one eye open. 😊

Thank you, little lizard, for trusting that I wouldn't make you any harm and allowing me to take a few photos! 😉

Great shots! I know how hard is to take good shots of lizards. They look like they sit still, and all-of-a-sudden they could disappear like they never existed. 🦎

Although the other shots are also very good, I would pick the same one as the best one.

But, something else...
When I saw your lizard shots, first thing that crossed my mind was some "dirty" local joke.

There is an island here (I'm not going to name it) where people are characterized as known for stinginess. The joke starts with the following question one would ask some another.

"Do you know, how lizards came to be? - Some people brought crocodiles to the people of (above described) island to feed them, and that's what they become after short while." 😜 😅

It's got such pretty colours :O Did you notice different colours coming up as you moved around it/it turned? And was it shinier in person? :D

Nice catch :)
