Outdoor Casual Photoshoot - An Exciting Day
After a very disappointing photography day, a few days ago, I finally went out for a photoshoot. I learned a lot of lessons, and a lot of hive friends really cheered me up. I never expected anybody to even read my ramblings, but alas, people did. I am sincerely grateful for this space. I was still down yesterday, but I knew that I couldn't let one bad job/customer take away something I really love doing. I vowed to start improving and working to be in the best position before I work. A former course mate of mine during my university days summoned me to come and be a "official" photographer. Not only was I honoured and grateful, but I was delighted to work with her because she is a very positive person with high standards. All I really need was to go out and work and have fun, because I see my work as play, not work per se, just to rekindle my desire again. He house was beautiful, the surroundings was perfect, she was peng. I took over fourthy pictures as she had different clothes on, yeah a fashionista. Check out and enjoy the first round of pictures below.
Took the above photos with my Nikon D3200. I also edited them on Lightroom mobile with a free preset from a popular and amazing international photographer, Moss Onyi. I was happy with the natural light. I was also cautious, so I shoot most most of the photos at 1/1000 shutter speed in contrast to the f/4.0 aperture. Thoughts?

These are a lot nicer shots. The outdoor lighting is fine and you have a happy subject. I like the 2nd shot the best. I think it's because you're closer to her and also the angle of the shot makes it so I don't see through the fence. The fence is a good background, but I'm slightly distracted when I see through the fence and start looking at the car etc. They're all good shots, number two is best in my opinion! :-)
Super grateful for your feedback. I realized how crucial light is and I knew I had to be out there.
You're right about the car, luckily we went out to the road to take more photos.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
