Photographs of an artificial lake

Photographs of an artificial lake that looks natural

The creativity of human beings is so immense that it is capable of creating artificial things that seem natural, an example of this is the Taiguaiguai lagoon located in Cagua, Aragua state, Venezuela, on the banks of the road Cagua - La Villa, this is a reservoir that beautifies the view of the inhabitants of the town of Bella Vista, the name of the neighborhood was born by the beautiful view that gave them the Taiguaiguai lagoon.

I grew up watching this reservoir, every time I went to school and on my way back I was distracted by the beautiful reflections of the sun on the calm waters of the lake, according to some historians and the chronicler of Cagua, Simon Enrique Puerta said that, although some think otherwise, the lagoon was not formed by a natural process, but its creation was possible through the action of pipes from different farms that flowed into that place.

Others say that it was created to irrigate the local crops. What is certain is that the reservoir receives treatment through a plant that is part of the sanitation of Lake Valencia. It is not water that is fit for human consumption.

This lagoon has varied vegetation and is visited by a large number of birds among which we can mention: cotúas, herons caravans, you can also locate some turtles, currently, some people were located on the shore and practice fishing.

The images that I present today are mine and were captured while I was on a moving bus, they are from different days, with one of the photos I made a small edition using the photo gallery program of my Huawei Honor 8s cell phone.

This publication allows me to participate in the contest Beach Wednesday Edition 4 made by @uwelang, if you want to participate read the instructions in the link. Thanks for making it this far, I'll read you in the comments or see you in a future post.

On the way to my little town Villa de Cura, what good pictures, my father tells me that when he was just a boy there was a road that crossed what is now the lagoon and communicated Bella Vista with Turagua, in years with strong drought where the lagoon collects its waters it is possible to see the mark of what was that road. Recently some neighbors of my neighborhood have gone fishing in this lagoon and return with baskets and more baskets of fish, and I have even seen along the road to Turagua where the dam of this lagoon as the lizards that live in this lagoon go for a walk along the road.

Hello friend yes, Villa de Cura is your town, I grew up in Bella Vista, I left and a year ago I came back because I am taking care of my grandmother and supporting my mother, in Villa de Cura I went to study 4 and 5 of high school in the Liceo Alberto Smith.

And the beautiful lagoon, with the crisis has fed many people, but I am not able to eat anything that comes from there 😝🤢🤮 @fmbs25

I live two blocks from the Alberto Smith high school, so we are quite close then, woman!
I can't eat anything that comes from there either, but as you say, necessity has led many to eat these fish to ingest animal protein.
