Gentle Reminder
In my native language, spring has a female definite article.
Winter also has a feminine definite article,
but it is somehow softened and balanced by Santa Claus.
Autumn also has a feminine definite article,
but it is nothing but colorful and beautiful.
Only spring has all the characteristics of a capricious and wayward woman.
Not of a lady, but of an angry woman,
just awakened from hibernation,
still not have drunk her coffee,
not have been warmed, not have been stroked, or caressed,
not have been kissed and calmed.
In our native folk tradition, spring is defined as an old woman.
Not a young one full of life and joy.
As if only an old woman can be as capricious as spring really is.
So this time, with this post of mine, I don't want to anger the wayward old woman again. I don't want to go directly to her and advise her on what to do.
I understand Her. Nobody likes to be told what to do. No woman likes to be told what to do.
So, this time I will just show Her, very delicately and tactfully, what She should look like and what She should do.
Because, it is obvious that She has already forgotten, has no idea and must be reminded somehow.
Maybe She'll like these pictures, this gentle reminder, and She'll be back at last. Because we need Her.
