Every day that I go to my rehabs at the 12 de Octubre Hospital here in Madrid I am amazed to find so much beauty.

Cada día que voy a mis rehabilitaciones al Hospital 12 de Octubre aquí en Madrid me quedo maravillada al encontrar tanta hermosura.

To see how spring is coming in little by little and filling your spirit with warmth is really something to appreciate, and for someone like me, who did not know the passing of the seasons is something unforgettable, maybe I am very sensitive because of all the events of the last year: the chemotherapies, the operation, the radiotherapies and all the consequences of preventing cancer from spreading through your body and you have been able to stop it.

Es que ver como la primavera va entrando poco a poco y va llenando tu espíritu de calor es en verdad de apreciar, y para alguien como yo, que no conocía el paso de las estaciones es algo inolvidable, puede ser que me encuentre muy sensible por todos los acontecimientos del último año: las quimioterapias, la operación, las radioterapias y todas las consecuencias de evitar que un cáncer se propague por tu cuerpo y lo hayas podido atajar.

Spectacular flowers that are so impatient to show themselves that one becomes three, they show their desperation so that we can contemplate them and rejoice at such beauty.

Espectaculares flores que están tan impacientes por mostrarse que una se convierte en tres, muestran su desespero para que podamos contemplarlas y sentirnos regocijados ante tanta belleza.

And without fear of looking ignorant I can tell you that I had never seen a daffodil or a tulip in this my second spring in Madrid and therefore in Europe. Understanding how others have a different concept of what the cycle of life means.

Y sin temor a quedar como ignorante les puedo contar que nunca habia contemplado un narciso ni un tulipán en esta mi segunda primavera en Madrid y por ende en Europa. Entendiendo como otros tienen un concepto distinto de lo que significa el ciclo de la vida.

And I toast to that, here's to another year and my health being restored little by little, here's to all those who are battling all the diseases, and more and more I am toasting the staff who risk their lives every day to help us overcome all of these disorders. Finally, here's to those who are here and to those who lost the battle, here's to the end of it all soon.

Y brindo por ello, brindo por otro año más y que mi salud se vaya restableciendo poco a poco, brindo por todos los que están batallando contra todas las enfermedades, y cada vez más estoy brindando por el personal que arriesga su vida cada día al ayudarnos a superar todos estos trastornos. En fin, brindo por los que están y por los que perdieron la batalla, brindo para que pronto llegue todo a su fin.
