The homeless meal has rolled around again, wish us luck!

Sunday will be the next homeless meal, and this one will be harder than normal. Our source for pizza doesn't have any this time, and our beef stew guy isn't coming.

When I went to the grocery store to buy supplies for the dishes they like; the shelves were bare of normal supplies! I will have to get creative, and make something new up, that they will like. We plan to serve a hundred, so we need to make that many plates!

The plates are filled to capacity:

These plates are stacked into an ice chest to stay warm, based on how many people are in the target camp. We always add a few extra, in case some more have joined the camp recently.

Plates are passed down the line like a bucket brigade:

This far, we haven't dropped any; but it is pretty fast! Please excuse the lighting, there are no shades on the windows at the food bank; and my phone has trouble with the light levels. It's better when we're making up the food, with good lighting it's easier!

The ladies make sure the plates are singled up, and keep count of how many we make; to help plan the next feed.

We had to fill this cheese sauce twice:

The really love the chips covered with hot cheese sauce, with a little Rotel in it!

They really like the macaroni and cheese, and the green bean casserole, we make them often. If we miss them, we get questions. The Lady that makes the macaroni and cheese, has made a roaster full every month for over seven years! She adds cream cheese, and they really enjoy it.

We hope to feed a hundred this month, but we have had a month of extremely hot weather; so we'll see how the camps have done. We'll send extra water bottles with the food too!

The mayor is still attacking the homeless here, so please pray he has a change of heart! He's a bitter man, with evil in his soul; so please pray hard....
