THE FLOWERS AND ME

For the first time in my life, it was my first time receiving flowers. It was given to me by the youngest son ofy employer during my 50th birthday.

These were the flowers he gave me with money.

It was far beyond my expectation to receive like these while still alive. When I was young, I knew many people who gave flowers to their special someone only. And it was our tradition to give flowers for a funeral.

When I stay here in Saudi Arabia, giving bouquets to their loved ones is a common thing. They never give flowers to a dead person. And I found out that this is a tradition from the old ages in the Middle East.

In today's society, flowers are given to loved ones to help communicate human emotions. Whether it be to express your undying love or gratitude for a friend, flowers can be given to anyone at any time. But was this always the case? Just like everything else, the act of giving flowers has a rich history.

For the greatest gift during my golden years. I considered it a memorable one.

These different colored roses have a great impact and meaning to me.

I was not celebrating my birthday yearly but for an act of random kindness for my fellow Filipinos here, they wanted a celebration as most of our birth date/month falls in October. With full respect, they sponsored my birthday party on my day. Being good and kind to them, they were just returning it back.

I remember last year, I was devastated when steemcleaner accused me of plagiarism. I cried a lot. It was my photography. I thanked God, I had a back up all my photographies and I submitted it to the people who accused me. I survived that problem after shedding tears for two days.

The lesson I just learned from that problem was I never take a picture to a picture anymore. That was just a mistake from me.

I love photography and most of my photos I used in blogging are my collection.

This is just a story, part of my celebration. I hope that you may like it and feel interesting in why people are giving flowers to a living person.

Thank you so much!
