The Fort of Qaitbay is a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean sea coast, in Alexandria.

It was erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Now, it is a popular meeting point for the evening walk.

This is the Mohamed Fieter 's Building in Sultan Hassan Street.

It is one of the few buildings remaining from a luxurious and rich architecture period.

On both top edges, there are two colossal statues wearing warrior costumes and holding swords.

It looks like they are the guardians of the edifice.

There is also a cool sculpted crown at the center which carries the initial of the building owner.

Interior of the Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque.

Fascinating to see all the work made to embellish the Mosque.

It's even more beautiful when all the lights are on, but during the prayer I did not dare to take a picture not to disturb people.

Finally, here is some wall embellishment.

Some cities really have the way to embellish the places.

No need to be complicated or cost millions, the simplest ideas are often enough.
