Temples of Abu Simbel, Egypt

The temples of Abu Simbel are two temples of ancient Egypt carved in the rock near Abu Simbel, in the south of Egypt.

Built by Pharaoh Ramses II to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Qadesh, the temples were threatened with destruction by the construction of a new dam near Aswan.

The decision was made to move the site to its current location after being separated into over 1000 blocks.

A great giant puzzle very well assembled by more than 900 people.
