Ritsurin Koen, Takamatsu, Japan (6 pics) - Part 1 - Nature
Ritsurin Koen is a beautiful garden in Takamatsu, Japan.
Considered one of the best gardens in Japan, the spacious park includes many ponds, hills, historic trees and pavilions.
A little something for everyone.
The garden was built during the early Edo Period and we can find beautiful bonsai trees.
It is a great spot to relax surrounded by natural ponds, hills and historic trees.
Japanese gardens are so quiet and relaxing.
This one also offers a boat ride popular amongst Japanese tourist.
Personally, I prefer to walk the garden instead.
It gave me time to reflect on life and meditate.
We can always find serenity in a nice garden like this.
In Japan, all the gardens are so peaceful; if I lived there, I would surely be in one of them almost every day.
Perfectly balance and never overcrowded.
They contrast with Japanese lifestyle which is mostly fast and focused on work.
Here, in the middle of a garden, we can just take our time and relax.
I spent only a day in Takamatsu and the road to get there offers a nice view on the water.
I would have liked to have had the time to take a little boat trip, but it was not possible at the time.
Maybe next time.
