This is the Quebrada del Condorito National Park or "Parque Nacional Quebrada del Condorito" or Quebrada del Condorito National Park, in the province of Cordoba, Argentina.

The park is part of a protected area of 150,000 hectares.

One of the highlights of the area is the presence of a significant number of species from the high peaks of these mountain ranges.

The most popular being the condor, that I had the chance to see during my visit.

It is an important “pond” of condors, an endangered species in South America.

There are also a lot of beautiful landscape during the hike to get to the view point.

Low hills and meadows make up most of the mountains in the park.

The existence of this National Park was due to the proposal of naturalists, NGOs and professionals of natural sciences, particularly the National University of Cordoba.

All agreed on the importance of ensuring the maintenance of this very particular environment.

Two major components were identified as the basis of the creation of the National Park:

1- Ensuring the survival of the condor population whose nests and roosts have always colonized the highest levels of the bare rock canyon, known as Quebrada del Condorito.

2- Above 2000 meters, the high plain that is La Pampa de Achala acts as the head of the basin that captures the precipitations that run off forming most of the sources of rivers in Cordoba.
