Aswan, Egypt (5 pics) - Part 1 - The city
Aswan is a city south of Cairo, Egypt.
We can spend hours admiring the view.
Felucca and Cruise Ship easily coexist on the Nile.
The city can be very busy but also very relaxing.
You just have to be in the right place.
This is the Aswan souk just before the rush hour start.
At this time, most people are eating, otherwise, it would be overcrowded and full of life.
Visiting a souk is a must do in any city.
Aswan is a cool tourist city on the bank of the Nile.
After a day navigating the Nile and exploring nearby islands, I took a few moments to admire this view in silence.
Aswan, and several other cities along side the Nile, offers ride in these charming boats.
A great way to forget the chaos of the city.
The sun goes down in Aswan.
I am right next to the train station.
As soon as you arrive, you can see a big street that goes to the Nile.
The Nile crosswalk is cool at night as it get very animated, it's the opposite of what we see in this photo.
The Nile, one of the two longest rivers in the world.
Source of life or means of transport, it is a strong symbol of Africa.
Always pleasant to sail on it or just walk along it on the shore.
Always quiet, except when it is invaded by a cruise ship.
Photo taken with a Canon PowerShot A620.
