A day in Osaka, Japan (5 pics)

Osaka, Japan is a city full of history and nice places to explore.

We spent a day in a sanctuary.

The Great Sumiyoshi Shrine, is a Shinto Shrine in Osaka, Japan.

It is the most important of all Sumiyoshi shrines in Japan.

It is the oldest sanctuary where the sanjin sumiyoshi are worshiped.

There is also an Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses.

There are a dozen structures, scattered across nine acres park, mostly farmhouses, dated from the 17th to 19th centuries.

We can enter most of them and see old farm tools, household objects and picture of better days.

Osaka, Japan is a big city, but we can still find nice garden to relax and enjoy life at is simplest.

On a nice hot day, the turtles are all out in the sun to perfect their tan 😊

Paper lanterns found in a Japanese shrine of Osaka.

Originally, the lanterns were simple tools to move and transport light, to protect and diffuse the light of the candle.

These days, they are more decorative.
