Sunset on the rock
I was fortunate enough to have the chance to cycle the 15km dirt loop (9.3 miles) around the base of the Uluru / Ayers Rock with my two sons. It really lets you appreciate just how large the rock is. Clancy rode his own bike, but I rented one of those crazy tandem bikes so Augie who was just four at the time could just cruse along on a seat behind me. Shot taken at sunset out of a helicopter with the doors removed. Uluru / Ayers Rock, Northern Territory, Australia

Love the picture, you are so lucky though, Australia is my dream location and I certainly want to visit Uluru while I am there, with everything I want to do in Australia, I think I need about 6 months there lol.
TBH even six months does not go that far in Australia. Its a whole continent .

He had just turned 6 at the time.
I heard this past year they stopped allowing people to climb it. I suppose that is nice considering it's holy land to some...helicopter....now that sounds like a nice way to see it!!!
Yes they did; it was quite controversial however the elders did not want it continuing .
