Haha, great photo! Just the photo of the rudder alone would have been awesome...But with the hitch hikers on it too? Nice one. How close were you when you took this?

Too close ; they are freaking scary when your anywhere near them and realise actually how long they are and how little manoverabikity they have.

I can imagine, they're big tubs. Such a great snap, and putting your life on the line for it. That's commitment. 😆

The rudder as you can imagine was plunging in and out of the water ; not sure how they hung on there .

It could be a new thing, a craze, you know, like base jumping. Rudder riding. A sport for all ages.

They have way too many utterly amazing and very hazardous shots XD

That's a lucky shot! I'm going to guess Australian fur seals.

Well you know what they say about luck ;-) I have never looked into what type they are; so I will go with that as your the expert.

On a different note you have this "Posted using Dapplr" on every comment; you can turn that off in Dapplr app if you want.

I wonder if they know which ship to catch rides on to get to where they want to go XD

If this was the shot and not a crop that's freaking terrifying O_O

I think they are just having a sleep probably and then heading off again. But might get a surprise where they end up.

But if they're on a ship that's bobbing around in the ocean and they're asleep on a part of a ship that's dipping in and out of the water wouldn't they wash off? Are they made of some kind of velcro like substance that can attach to anything?! :O
