It's been three years since the adventure of a lifetime

Time has really flown

It is hard to believe that three years ago, I was on an airplane waiting to lift off and head towards Tanzania to live in a village with the Massai.

I had no clue what to expect or how things would go when I got there. I had no idea that I would meet some of the greatest people I have ever known and that I would fall in love with Africa.

This little cutie was the chief's daughter. Her and her friends would always come by and play games with us.

This man is the old chief and makes some of the best alcohol in the village. I didn't have the guts to drink any of it, but he showed me how to make it with some roots, water and sugar. There is some other stuff that goes into it, but I can't remember everything.

One thing I do remember is that they leave the mixture out in the sun in a large barrel to ferment. It isn't the most sanitary way of making alcohol, but I hear it is pretty strong and most likely kills off a lot of germs.

While I was there, I was lucky enough to attend a few ceremonies and celebrations. It was so cool to see all of the beautiful colorful clothing. I was able to dance with them and listen to their singing.

The last week or so I was in Tanzania, I was able to go on a safari. We started off on the Serengeti for a few days and then the last day was spent at the Ngorongoro Crater. It was so awesome to see so many animals in their natural habitat.

The Maasai people were some of the most accepting and happy people I have ever met in my life. I am glad that I was able to go and take so many pictures of my time so that I will always remember the great people I met while I was there.

I hope that I am able to go back soon with my family so that they can experience the magic of Africa as well.

Some very wonderful pictures. Even though i have never had the time, money or energy to visit, I do get to visit through the eyes of others and the lives of people living in Africa. A wonderful place like so many others on Earth.

It's been only six months since I left Africa, and I already miss it. Luckily I brought the best part of it home with me. Cheers!

I would have passed out. No joke. I mean They are such beautiful animals but at any moment one could grab a person. Most dont realize how easily they are able to and dont.

Incredible shots! That photo of the chief's daughter captured the beautiful soul. I can see it from the eyes of that kid. Much love from the Philippines!
