JOIN THE DISCORD SERVER

Hello World!

This is the 28th Edition of the PhotoChain challenge. The PhotoChain Challenge is a blockchain-like photography contest. If you would like to know more about, read the PhotoChain Challenge INTRODUCTION Post on HIVE. There, I explain the functioning of the contest and how to participate.

In this post, I'll announce the 2 winners of the 27th Edition of the Contest. Within the next 48 hours, I'll reward both of them with 1 HIVE SBI - as explained in the rules - and will post in the comment section of the 27TH EDITION the confirmation of transactions.

And the Winner is...

The 27th Edition counted 1 (One) valid participants...

Oh yes! You're right, for the first time in its history, Photochain edition counted only one participant. As happens in the blockchain, here too we will validate the transaction. Therefore, I declare as the only winner of the week @isabelpena. Respecting the logical-mathematical criteria on which the blockchain is based, the reward of each block is not reducible, so also Photochain will follow the same principle: being Isabelpena the only participant, she will be entitled entirely to the 2 Hive SBI offered for the weekly edition.

From a personal point of view, I am happy that the functioning of the blockchain rewards our friend, considering how difficult the couple of key-subject was this week. Here is the winning image!

The Key-Subjects were:
Children and Mushroom

This is the winner of the 27th Edition:

Winner

Isabelpena

with a shot from above of the 2 key subjects

The personal subject is Parched

Congratulations!

Thank you EVERYONE for participating in this week's contest! This time everyone is equal to @isabelpena

I also invite you in the new edition with all the Steem and Hive participants @qwerrie @melinda010100 @barbara-orenya @nelinoeva @isabelpena @iamraincrystal @bambuka @mauriciozoch @bucipuci @gingbabida @centenojesus @luigi-the-gnome @eii @dronegraphica @lifeskills-tv @whatisnew @redheadpei @wakeupkitty @libertycrypto27 @paradigm42 @daysiselena @calisay @viking-ventures @dkkarolien @tijntje @wongbraling @sonius94 @iampolite @pavelsku @sgbonus @lorennys @dreamingirwin @geyzee @jlgc @zhanavic69 @steemflow @trudeehunter

Prize for the next edition: 2 HIVE SBI, as I explained in the Transfer on Hive Introductory Post

Recapitulating:

This is a WEEKLY PHOTOGRAPHY Contest.

This is for EVERYONE on the Hive platform.

2 HIVE SBI PRIZE

No required UPVOTE, RESTEEM, FOLLOW or BID to participate.

I explained in the Introduction Post that everyone can participate by submitting his/her own photo in the comment section. The photo must contain the 2 Key-Subjects that will be communicated in each post of the New Edition and another key-subject at your choice (contained in the photo). I also explained there how the key-subject will change and the criterium with which I'll choose them.

Are you Ready?

START!

This week's edition is the:

28th Edition

BAM!!!
This time things get complicated: we have only one key-subject for the week. According to the initial regulation, I should choose one to break the pattern and throw a second word. I feel sorry for you, but once again I don't want to take this responsibility.

In the next edition, we will have a single keyword and you will have to add one at your choice which, per regulation, must be contained in the photo.

So...

The KEY-SUBJECT for this week is:

PARCHED

Much simpler, don't you think? Maybe not trivial ... but come on! A single key-subject, when it happens again?

GOOD LUCK!

photochain.jpg

-- --- ---- STEPS ---- --- --

1) SUBMIT IN THE COMMENT SECTION:

  • The photo that contains the two Key-Subjects;
  • A Comment with the two Key-Subjects + another subject of your choice contained in the photo. (If you posted the image in your blog, you can post the link to that page, but you must add your photo anyway in the comment)

2) ONLY IF YOU WANT: mention another person you think would like this challenge.

3) NO FOLLOW, UPVOTE, RESTEEM REQUIRED.

4) WAIT FOR THE NEXT WEEK: time limit fixed to 3 hours before the Post Payout

I'll write a post for the weekly edition start and I'll announce the Winners of the Previous Week Edition. There I'll communicate the 2 Key-Subjects.

If you have any doubt, follow the practical example in the Introduction Post. Furthermore, I add a practical example in the comment section of the Zero Edition Post and you can consult the previous edition to know more about how can the comments be.

Rules

  • One entry each participant

  • NO PLAGIARISM!

  • The duration of the contest: 7 days, from the start announcement post to 3 hours before the Post Payout Time.

  • Editing is allowed, but not creations such as graphic design: this is a PHOTOGRAPHY contest.

  • Every Color Cover is allowed, including Black and White.

  • Every Theme is allowed: no censorship except for extremely explicit content. The nsfw contents are allowed but I will not utilize the nsfw tag for the PhotoChain Post: so, if I choose a nsfw photo as a winner, I will not insert it as an image in the official post (only as a mention or a link to the original post)

  • IMPORTANT: I invited the participants to use fairly large categories as subjects so as not to sabotage participation. You haven't to use proper names (of cities, places, mountains, species, etc)
    For example:
Don't utilize the subject snow bear but only animals; naturally I will give more importance to the photo of an animal that is not often photographed compared to a simple domestic cat.
REMEMBER! The more general the category used as a subject, the greater the participation in the competition, the greater the prizes in the future.

  • Finally, I'll advance with the prizes awarding 2 days approx after the finish of the weekly challenge. I'll write the transaction ID in the winners' announcements post.

TIME TO JOIN!

Now it's your turn.

haha! in case of 13 it maybe too late - on one hand... (no childish primitive drawings etc), she might have different teenage intrests now :)) but on another hand, beautiful woman (especially a young smiling and beautiful person) always give a +100 bonus to the photo. or even more
:)

so, thats a very good idea!
I must say, my girl recently becomes more and more and even MORE reluctant to cooperate with photos and shooting when I ask, hahaha!

hahahaha - yeah, I know it.
It runs in our family to "hide" when the camera comes out - or to learn to be on the other side of the camera and thus have an excuse to not be in the pictures!

lol! she learned to be on the other side of the camera in 13 years? thats simply PRECIOUS!!! hehehe

I'd rather got it as 'thirsty', but not dried sunken wilted (plants)...

Thirsty works, but so does dry/arid.

hmmm. these are two different words.. so, it embraces all the spectre of meanings in itself?.. hmm..

Parched basically means "without water" - so, thirsty works, as does dry/arid... Yet, "wilted" is more along the lines of "dead" than simply "parched."
English is such a fun language!

thanks a lot! @viking-ventures, sometimes I feel a bit sad I cannot get those things 'by default' as a non native speaker. looking at the world around thru the prism of the language, semantics, etimology, noticing how is it being constructed by means of the language constructions (and especially where did it originated from, and developed in time) -=- it is one of the things that I am very obsessed (very good word: obsessed!) :)))

I find language fascinating - even simply examining how English is constructed and where various words/syntaxes originate. (This includes having frequent arguments with spell-check - and usually winning.) Interestingly, my first paid job as a young adult was working with ESL (English as a Second Language) students at a university, helping them understand English better (and examining it myself...)
I'm always happy to give my thoughts on this.

super. you do understand me, then.

(for me, its not about English - its more existential thing, in a broader and more general aspect, that is what I like to find out about world / words of any language). gn! and one more time TNKS for your help and time.

Google Translate suggests that:
Parched =

  • "tostado/a"
  • "seco" or "tierra seca"
    (That's the meaning I used.)

I had to look up "thirsty" to give you more meanings...

  • sedienta/o
    (That's the meaning @qwerrie used.)

Hope that helps a little.

Thanks! There were many flowers in that area, but this was the one that chose the dryest ground. I still need to discover what it is...

For much of the year the soil in the American southwest is 'parched' from lack of water.
