| Publish to a community or to blog?.

English version below

One of the projects that was proposed from the beginning for this blockchain, but which took a long time to materialize, was the system of "hives", called that way initially, but later renamed "Communities". If you still don't know them or how to use them, you can check my post Publish to a community or to blog?.

When I entered the platform, one of the most active authors in the music field, promoter of several tags (which was the closest thing to a form of organization), was @uwelang, who had generated a movement of content with tags like #danceweekend (for which I wrote regularly) and #technofriday, with which he continues to publish. Through him I learned about the "communities" project and he was eager for them to materialize so that, finally, we could have a real music community, where all the content dedicated to this art form could be gathered.

The happy day arrived and on November 21, 2019 he created the community, which was assigned the identifier "hive-193816". To date it is in the 29th position within Hive, in number of subscribers, with more than 1200.

However, this type of community has been gaining ground little by little and it is now that its functionality has been understood, as well as the need to concentrate the content of the platform in thematic communities, which will allow Hive to have a logic, as far as the organization of the content is concerned.

But perhaps because of the same ignorance that there was (and still is) about these beehives, hives or communities, many have been created without a clear sense and without knowing if there are previously communities for a certain theme or not. This has led to the fact that there are currently more than 50 music communities.

Before I sat down to analyze the situation and make a decision about it, I posted my musical contents in different communities such as GEMS, OCD and, of course, in the music communities of some friends. But a fact that triggered the alarms for me, was that on one occasion I posted my entry for #Openmic in a music community and several of the authors who posted there did not know that this event existed and that it had already been active for more than 20 weeks.

There I understood that we had to unify the musical activity and concentrate the content in a single community.

Here I make the parenthesis, that I believe that other communities of music can exist for more concrete aspects, as it can be a specific contest, or a community for a musical genre in special, or perhaps by nationality. But I think there should be a central axis where the main musical content of the platform is achieved.

I made a detailed analysis of the performance and conditions of each of the most active music communities that existed and decided that I would dedicate my efforts to contributing to making "the main" the one that, in my opinion, had the optimal conditions. Until I finally decided on Music Community, the same by @uwelang, the one with the largest number of subscribers and the pioneer in this field.

And I chose that one because I think those two elements I mention there are important. I also saw an interesting characteristic in several of the other communities, is that they have around them an "organized community" that will perfectly follow them wherever they go, because they are a kind of organized guild. Thus, one can see how several of them have initiatives with a number of active followers, who participate in their challenges and contests and who are willing to publish in the community that they are told, because they are committed to these work teams.

In my opinion, the ideal is to move all these projects to a single window, which at this time is the one with the largest number of subscribers, so the window is the widest and that community, as an organized structure, will not lose anything, because they maintain complete control of their projects, but they would win, because everyone will win if all the musical activity is concentrated in a single space and that everyone can have access to each one of these projects.

At the time, I wrote to @uwelang, to make some suggestions that I thought would make the community more attractive for everyone and I offered my support to boost that community. As a result, he appointed me as administrator in it and we started to make a couple of changes that have made that in a few days we have doubled the number of users publishing (active posters), that we have increased considerably the pending rewards and the possibility of receiving an important additional support is already raised (but I should not talk about it yet).

In addition, we activated the @music-community account, which has just been introduced in the post Introducing the official Music-Community account, with which we have been curating music content for days, rewarding content within the community and outside it. I invite you to follow that account so that you can be aware of all the projects we are going to promote, as well as the initiatives we will launch from there. For this account we are asking for support in delegations, in order to offer better rewards to authors and in just a couple of days we went from just over 1000 HP to over 7000. Although our goal at the moment is 50,000 HP.

Here I share with you the links to delegate directly from Hivesigner, the amount you desire.

Our central motto is

From musicians and music lovers to musicians and music lovers!

And among our goals are points like:

  • To achieve the highest level of quality and professional quality in music
  • Bringing together all musicians, singers, producers, DJs, music businesses and all music lovers and fans

The rest of the goals and objectives can be read in the introductory post of @music-community.

There are already some events that we have been supporting and our goal is to expand them even further. Among them we would like to highlight:

  • Hive Open Mic, an initiative of @cabelindsay
  • Hive Music Festival, led by @edwardstobia
  • Musical Marathon, project created by @beatriche
  • And any other that exists or may arise on the platform

One of the elements we are releasing is our logo, designed by @ikasumanera, excellent musician and designer, who was responsible for creating this "brand".

All of the above, of course, constitutes my point of view and I believe it is the way to make the greatest contribution to the musical environment at Hive. I know of some opinions that do not coincide with mine, but that is the good thing about having a decentralized platform, where different approaches fit.

I invite all my musician friends to join this community and that together we create a single space for music in Hive, a space of amplitude and above all of quality.
