I'm so glad you liked the song I shared last week! Thank you for the prize! 😊

This week, I'd like to share "GET A MOVE ON," a delightful little video and song by Mr. Scruff who is a music producer and illustrator from England. This is a jazzy little song and I like it, but it's even better if one watches the music video, too, with the charming, quirky characters done in low-fi illustration! I find the video very entertaining! 😁

πŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”Έ "You better keep movin' or you'll be left behind!"

It really was a super track, the way in which she completely lost herself in it is what sold it hook, line and sinker. Well, for me anyway.

Looking forward to listening to this one... you know I save them a for next Friday πŸ™‚ but do agree on the added impact of the videos. The visual facet of the lyrics... which I love!!!

I totally agree, the way Katie immersed herself in the story was the hook for me, as well! She was delightful to watch, with her hand motions and the way she turned her head and smiled sublimely every time she sang the word "Swim..." was charming. Her voice is so gentle and hypnotic, too, with the lyrics flowing from her mouth like thick, sweet honey. I'm glad someone else appreciated her performance as much as I did! πŸ’—

That song was discovered on a weekly television program I watch. As the show was winding up last week, that song played very softly in the background as the tv-characters were going their separate ways just before the credits to the show rolled past. I grabbed my phone and the SHAZAM app gave me the song's title and artist! LOL! And I have been so enamored of the song that I purchased it on Amazon Music and have listened to it at least once each day for the past week-and-a-half. So, when I say "can't stop listening..., I am sincere! πŸ˜‚

It is interesting how in such random moments of life a "backing track" to the often mundane moments of whatever we are doing will suddenly move to the forefront, creating a mood in itself... next thing you know, you have a new favourite, lol.

It really was a great track. Very soulful.
