LalalaLoveStream ♥ Jason Mraz's Valentine's Online Acoustic Show

Good morning! How was your Valentine's Day yesterday? How did you celebrate it in the midst of pandemic?

For emotionally independent people like me 😂, Valentine's Day is just a normal day. Just kidding! A bar of chocolate is enough for me to participate to this global celebration. But two days ago, I got a notification that singer, Jason Mraz, is holding an online Valentine show on Youtube called "LALALA LOVESTREAM".

It's free so I took the chance to watch it. The live stream was scheduled at Saturday 6 P.M. (PST) and that's 10 in the morning here in my country. The schedule was awesome because I was eating breakfast while watching the live stream. :)

Jason Mraz is known for his great acoustic/reggae music and amazing soothing voice. Most of his songs also revolves around kindness, positivity, peace, and love. "I'm Yours" was very popular for couples back then. Well, I think it still is until today. Jason has a lot of love songs in his albums and so holding a Valentine's Day show is a perfect opportunity for a throwback.

While we assume that his songs are intended for couples, Jason reminded his viewers that he dedicates his Valentine's show for everyone, whether you're alone or with someone. He also wishes his songs will fill the hearts of people alone with love so they'll feel less alone or "lonely".

It's been months since I've watched his live stream. In fact, he does live streams every now and then on Youtube and other social media apps since the pandemic began. He even has a TikTok now but I don't know what's happening there since I don't have an account for that app. When I watched his live stream yesterday, I noticed that his setup has become better. Jason has become better setting up his studio by himself. On his first few live streams, he mostly encounter technical problems since he has no technical team to do it for him. Audio, camera, etc. He experienced problems with those but it's nice to see he got better because the recent live stream went so smooth.

At the beginning of the show, he also mentioned the show has no breaks aside from reading a few comments from the viewers from time to time and sipping some drink on his mug.

Jason performed a lot for this show. Usually, his live streams only last for around an hour but his Valentine's show took around an hour and forty five minutes. It was like a full concert and he gave his all during this show considering that is it a free live stream. While some artists hold a paid Valentine show, Jason did it for FREE. What a kind and generous man!

He has a setlist prepared but he also took some request from his viewers and also read some greetings. Of course, he never failed to spot some Filipino viewers and mentioned "Salamat". I think it's his favorite Filipino word.

He did a couple of talks including his Valentine sweater made by a friend, but what I love was a topic about removing gender-biased names for referring to a group of people. He mentioned that he is practicing on calling group of people other names aside from "guys". He encouraged people to get creative. Knowing this makes me like Jason Mraz more. My ears bleed whenever I hear someone keep saying "guys". This word is also a very popular word in a Filipino vlogger's vocabulary. Watch a Filipino vlog and you'll hear them say "guys". Notice how many times they mention the word too.

Before I get negative, I'd like to mention that I appreciate the singer's effort to serenade and keep company with his fans. Whether it's paid or free, he always give the same quality of performance. The world needs his songs. I believe his songs have the power to spread positivity to the world. ❤️

Here's the replay of the LALALA LOVESTREAM if you want to watch it. He says you can download or rewatch it on Youtube if you wish to watch it again. Truly a generous singer.
