Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una de las experiencias más gratificantes que he podido tener con relación a la música. En forma general fue una experiencia increíble, llena de personas talentosas y personalmente marco un precedente en mi, así que sin más que decir comencemos!.

Hello to all the community hive, I hope you are super good at home. Today I want to share with you one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in relation to music. Overall it was an incredible experience, full of talented people and personally set a precedent for me, so without further ado let's get started!.

En blogs anteriores he compartido con ustedes un poco sobre la vida de mi abuelo Magallanes quien también era musico, por tanto tuve el privilegio y la oportunidad de ser parte de una de las agrupaciones más importantes en la vida el llamada "Orlando y su combo", participando como cantante femenina y corista de la agrupación.

In previous blogs I have shared with you a little about the life of my grandfather Magallanes who was also a musician, so I had the privilege and opportunity to be part of one of the most important groups in life called "Orlando and his combo", participating as a female singer and chorus girl of the group.

Cabe destacar que dicha agrupación sigue activa en la actualidad con una nueva directiva, por este motivo, una cadena de farmacias reconocida aquí en la ciudad de San Cristóbal decidió contratarlos en ese momento. Luego, para mi sorpresa el actual dueño de la agrupación, el maestro "Nicolás Porras" se dispuso a contactarme para ser parte de ese evento.

It should be noted that this group is still active today with a new directive, for this reason, a chain of pharmacies recognized here in the city of San Cristobal decided to hire them at that time. Then, to my surprise, the current owner of the group, the teacher "Nicolás Porras" contacted me to be part of that event.

Todo esto ocurrió hace cuatro años exactamente y por supuesto en ese momento fue una sorpresa muy grande para mi. Aunque convivo normalmente con diversos músicos nunca pensé compartir una tarima con una agrupación con tanto renombre en Venezuela y el Táchira como lo es dicha agrupación, además de tener un vínculo directo con mi abuelo que fue parte de ellos durante varios años.

All this happened exactly four years ago and of course at that time it was a very big surprise to me. Although I normally live with various musicians, I never thought I would share a stage with a group as renowned in Venezuela and the Táchira as this group is, besides having a direct link with my grandfather who was part of them for several years.

Para preparar el repertorio se organizó un solo ensayo con toda la orquesta y se cuadraron todos los temas originales de de la agrupación además, estuvieron incluidos algunos temas femeninos de otras agrupaciones como "las chicas del can", los melódicos, los cuales serían interpretados por mi.

To prepare the repertoire, a single rehearsal was organized with the whole orchestra and all the original songs of the group were squared. In addition, some female songs from other groups were included, such as "las chicas del can", the melodic ones, which would be performed by me.

Algo que recuerdo bastante emocionante fue que el concierto sería en la ciudad de Valencia específicamente en el hotel "Hesperia", que por cierto personalmente quedé muy asombrada. Aunque muchas partes de nuestro país Venezuela se encuentran abandonadas y en malas condiciones aún existen lugares llenos de elegancia y muchísimo glamour. Este hotel está catalogado como "5 estrellas", es súper grande y es una edificación totalmente espectacular.

Something that I remember quite exciting was that the concert would be in the city of Valencia specifically in the hotel "Hesperia", which by the way I was personally very surprised. Although many parts of our country Venezuela are abandoned and in bad conditions there are still places full of elegance and a lot of glamour. This hotel is catalogued as "5 stars", is super big and is a totally spectacular building.

Luego de un viaje largo con algunos inconvenientes mecánicos en la via 🥺 llegamos a Valencia en el autobús oficial de "Orlando y su combo", dónde nos recibió primeramente una posada muy bonita en donde descansamos y posteriormente nos arreglamos para ir al lugar del toque "Hotel Hesperia". Luego de descansar y comer, todos empezamos a alistarnos para el evento con uniforme de gala los caballeros y en mi caso un vestido brillante.

After a long trip with some mechanical problems on the road 🥺 we arrived in Valencia in the official bus of "Orlando and his combo", where we were first received by a very nice inn where we rested and then we arranged to go to the place of the touch "Hotel Hesperia". After resting and eating, we all started getting ready for the event with the gentlemen's gala uniform and in my case a shiny dress.

Llegamos al hotel ansiosos y pasamos por un lugar muy interesante, íbamos camino al salón de fiestas pero por las vías subterráneas, con esto quiero decir que para evitar que las personas que hacían vida en el hotel vieran todos los instrumentos grandes que traía la agrupación decidieron guiarnos por los pasillos alternos que utiliza el personal del hotel.

We arrived at the hotel anxious and passed by a very interesting place, we were on our way to the party room but through the subway passages, by this I mean that in order to avoid the people who were living in the hotel seeing all the big instruments brought by the group they decided to guide us through the alternate corridors used by the hotel staff.

Posterior a esto llegamos al lugar del evento, cada músico preparo su instrumento y luego de un rato nos montamos en tarima. Para mí fue una experiencia muy emocionante y divertida ya que la música de Orlando y su combo es muy sabrosa para bailar, por tanto, estoy segura que todos en algún momento la han podido escuchar.

After this we arrived at the place of the event, each musician prepared his instrument and after a while we got on the stage. For me it was a very exciting and fun experience since Orlando's music and his combo is very tasty to dance to, so I'm sure everyone at some point has been able to listen to it.

En general todo el baile salió muy bien, todos los músicos estaban satisfechos por la presentación y las personas de la fiesta bailaron toda la noche. Además de esto las personas encargadas nos atendieron muy bien, nos dieron hidratación, pasapalos y estuvieron muy atentos por si se presentaba alguna petición.

In general the whole dance went very well, all the musicians were satisfied with the performance and the people at the party danced all night long. Besides this, the people in charge took care of us very well, they gave us hydration, passports and were very attentive in case any request came up.

Entre los temas que se interpretaron de Orlando y su combo estuvieron "Azucena", "Que siga la fiesta", "Combolerias" entre otras. Posterior al evento nos fuimos a descansar y al día siguiente retornamos a nuestra tierra querida "San Cristóbal" todos contentos porque el evento había salido exitosamente.

Among the songs that were performed by Orlando and his combo were "Azucena", "Que siga la fiesta", "Combolerias" among others. After the event we went to rest and the next day we returned to our beloved land "San Cristobal" all happy because the event had been successful.

Al principio durante el ensayo me tope con músicos que no conocía, sin embargo posteriormente hice amistad con todos y me di cuenta que eran muy buenas personas. En fin, la música es algo extraordinario, con ella disfrutamos y recordamos sentimientos por esto, los invito a escuchar música en familia, hagan karaoke y bailen esas piezas que tanto les gusta en casa, el tiempo en familia es el mejor pasatiempo.

At first during rehearsal I bumped into musicians I didn't know, but later I made friends with them all and realized that they were very good people. In short, music is something extraordinary, with it we enjoy and remember feelings for this, I invite you to listen to music as a family, do karaoke and dance those pieces that you like so much at home, family time is the best pastime.
