A litte Tech House from the studio to you! <3

(Edited)

Before lockdown we had this idea of doing "Boiler Room" style sets from the studio. Duarte, a resident DJ of Secret Garden club, was our very first guest.

We had a monitoring system for our friends and line outs going directly into the console for recording.

Xaman, a local brewery sent us some pretty awesome #beer (which I'd like to talk about in another post) and a bar which we turned into a DJ booth.

we recorded most of the set with a GoPro. I made some shots with a 30mm Sigma lens to add a little dynamics.

Hope you enjoy some music to dance to this weekend.

Disclaimer: this was recorded pre-lockdown. I'm just going through some of my older material.

Owwww, why not recording more while in lockdown, or are you guys not even allowed to go to the studio? Some social distancing must be possible in the studio? Cool project BTW!

hey @qsounds thanks for stopping by!

yes! today I had a session with a trance DJ named Alexis Levar from Holland who is currently living in Guatemala. It was only us in the studio and he did a 1 hour set. I'm trying to see where I can take this. We discussed doing it again next month and maybe turning into a monthly thing, maybe we can get some more DJs on board.

I really appreciate your comment

Sounding cool! Hahaha, Dutch DJs invading Guatemala! They are everywhere! :)
Hope you'll be able to set something up. Good idea and I think next to Boiler Room (and there is another one I believe that acts worldwide) is always room for more.

Ah man, the video is unavailable, damn YouTube! But it sounds like a cool set up and good deal with the beer and brewery!

It doesn't work in peakd on Brave for me, but hive.blog does work. This is a general issue with videos.

Ohhhhhh, that's exactly what I use both on PC and mobile and never been able to view videos this way, thought YouTube was playing silly buggers!

Some Youtube videos do work, but often not the music ones. Otherwise I like the combination of browser and dapp.

I was trying to watch a BBC video from YouTube via PeakD and it was of Peaky Blinders, said the video is not available in my country! I live like 20 miles away from BBC Studios London 🤣

Maybe the browser uses a proxy or obscures your location that makes it look like you are elsewhere. I really don't know, but I expect someone on Hive would.
