Recientemente mi amigo @anthony2019 me invito a una iniciativa creada por la hiver @lucianav, que tiene como propósito mostrar tres canciones que te dedicarías a ti mismo.

Me llamo mucho la atención su premisa, ya que, como dice la misma autora:

¿Alguna vez se han dedicado una canción a ustedes mismos? Tal vez la respuesta sea negativa.

Y a veces se nos olvida tener gestos de amor para con la persona más importante: nosotros mismos.

Recently my friend @anthony2019 invited me to an initiative created by hiver @lucianav, which aims to showcase three songs that you would dedicate to yourself.

I was very struck by its premise, since, as the author herself says:

Have you ever dedicated a song to yourself? Maybe the answer is no.

And sometimes we forget to have gestures of love for the most important person: ourselves.

Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

Mi primera elección, no es más ni menos que, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, de Oasis, una canción bastante conocida, con una letra hermosa.

Tan solo el nombre, ya es una frase que te invita a sanar, y estar en paz contigo mismo.

Esta canción, al igual que el resto de este top, no solo esta dedicada a mi, sino a todo aquel que lo necesite.

Si estas librando alguna batalla interna, hay un error del pasado que no te deja continuar, no tengas miedo, solo recuerda que:

Nunca cambiarás lo que ha sido y se ha ido
Porque todas las estrellas se están desvaneciendo
Sólo trata de no preocuparte, algún día las verás
Toma lo que necesitas y sigue tu camino

My first choice is none other than Stop Crying Your Heart Out, by Oasis, a well known song with beautiful lyrics.

Just the name alone is a phrase that invites you to heal and be at peace with yourself.

This song, like the rest of this top, is not only dedicated to me, but to everyone who needs it.

30 Seconds To Mars - The Kill

Esta canción es una de las más famosas de 30 Seconds To Mars, y me gusta la idea de dedicármela, por su coro que dice "He terminado contigo", lo cual interpreto como terminar con los miedos e inseguridades.

Enfrentarles y hacerles pelea, aunque parezca que te van a destruir, hay que dejar de huir de nuestra lado más oscuro.

This song is one of the most famous songs by 30 Seconds To Mars, and I like the idea of dedicating it to me, because of its chorus that says "I am finished with you", which I interpret as ending fears and insecurities.

Face them and make them fight, even if it seems like they're going to destroy you, we have to stop running away from our darker side.

Flamingo - La Vida Boheme

He mencionado muchas veces a La Vida Boheme en este blog, y no es por menos, puesto que es de mis bandas Venezolanas favoritas.

Flamingo es una de sus canciones más reconocidas, y que habla sobre consolar a alguien en sus momentos más duros.

Al igual que el personaje del vídeo musical, cuando nos enfrentamos a las adversidades, y nos encontramos en un punto tan bajo de nuestra vida, solo queda una cosa por hacer: levantarnos.

Así quiero también yo hacer cada que me sienta agobiada, tener la fuerza en mi misma para levantarme.

I have mentioned La Vida Boheme many times in this blog, and not for less, since they are one of my favorite Venezuelan bands.

Flamingo is one of their most recognized songs, and it talks about comforting someone in their hardest moments.

Just like the character in the music video, when we face adversity, and find ourselves at such a low point in our lives, there is only one thing left to do: get up.

That's how I also want to do every time I feel overwhelmed, to have the strength in myself to get up.

Así culmino mi top 3 de canciones que me dedicaría a mi misma, esperando que les haya gustado. Como dije anteriormente, estas canciones no solo las dedico a mi, sino a todo el que lee y las necesite.
