I'm not super-educated on Freddie Mercury, but yeah, really shocked I never heard anything about him singing in Hungarian. How's his pronunciation in your opinion? I assume he only learned the song and is not a Hungarian speaker. Fusion is always best, the same rules can apply equally to music and food.

Thanks for stopping by. Freddie's Hungarian sounds very much like you said: he probably learned the song specifically for his Budapest concert. But that's a lot more than you'd expect from most others, and you can see the fans' appreciation. Hungarian, by the way, is among the toughest languages to learn, or so they say, at least in Europe. Since it's my first language, I couldn't tell one way or other.
Completely agree on the fusion music and food. Haha, I would even add architecture, clothes, and even language!
