@joanstewart , this has been a favourite of mine since I was a little girl!!! Gave me goosies back then and still does!!!! It always hit me to the core. What I LOVE about the video you chose to share is that it gave some insight into the background of the song, which believe it or not - I did not know!!! Trains were/are my favourite way of travel, the share you have is extra special in taking me on a magic carpet ride. Young generation no longer enjoy the slower pace, every holiday started riding trains.

Oooooh! Nice!!!! The video was a little odd though lol - those REALLY young kids sitting there with "such" lyrics - seemed a little inappropriate haha.... maybe I am just being too much of a "mom" lol! - but that aside, AWESOME song!

I often ponder what it would be like to have all that fame and fortune at such a young age. Speaking on my own behalf, whiskey is what kept me awake (back in the day). I wouldn't be able to tour without staying awake. Add young and dumb to the equation and it's a recipe for... well... Inxs.

The INXS show? it was at memorial drive, I can't recall the year, maybe 1987? A good show although, I'll be honest, I'm not a live concert sort of dude...Too many people. It was a good show though and they sounded pretty-much the same as they do on album. Speaking of which, I went to see Robbie Williams once, again, not sure of the year, maybe 2005 or 2006? In an open-air stadium. I was dragged along to be honest. Anyway, the seats were so far back I couldn't hardly hear the words, just noise so...I fell asleep. Seriously. They woke me up at the end and that was that.
What a cool story. I can't enough live shows, I seriously don't know how many I've been to. Damn I wish I could say Inxs was one though. 👍🏿

Sounds like good memories stirred up, expecially having seen him in his/your youth. Excellent musicians popped up everywhere, always nice going back and sometimes finding sound you never heard.

Gosh, just winding my way through Rumours as I came to see what tunes came up this week, good number, excellent group any day of the week.
Yes I got that aptly named album when I was 10ish. Loved it, but love it more now knowing what was going on behind the scenes...

Big hair days, what lengths one went to. Washed long hair, then wrapped up in pipe-cleaners day before to allow perfect drying time haha, made excellent big hair for a couple of days (parents thought us crazy)...
