Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town in South Africa!

This is my 36th week contributing to "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 101 overall!

In all of my TTT entries I like to play the songs on guitar as well as share the original videos... and I have a new pattern for "Three Tune Tuesday" where I pick three songs by one of my favourite artists, that has inspired me - as I also write original songs.

Today I would like to tackle Simon & Garfunkel. I love them and it is very hard to pick 3 songs. I will probably do a Part 2, so let's at least tackle Part 1 now! In fact, I will probably tackle a Paul Simon solo week as well!

For the first song, how about the Lai-la-lie chorus sung at campfires the world over? I'm talking about "The Boxer"...

After that, I would like to do something a little more obscure, even though I personally think this live performance of "For Emily Whenever I May Find Her" is one of the most magic musical moments I have ever seen and heard...

Finally, let's do something a little bit more upbeat to finish? I think a simple happy song would be "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)"...

So that's week 101 done and dusted! I hope you enjoyed the Simon & Garfunkel songs! Which song was your favourite? Did I miss an important one to you? There will definitely be a Part 2 sometime, and some Paul Simon solo career as well!

And so, which artist will I do three covers of next week, for TTT number 102?

This weeks songs must have been easier than some to transcribe!

I don't have a favourite from this weeks songs. All three of these are great; this was definitely Simon and Garfunkel in their prime.

"This weeks songs must have been easier than some to transcribe!" - Actually I found these songs quite tricky to play and especially sing! Hahaha - they're just so beautiful though!

hey friend, it is a beautiful thing and a great initiative that you dont only suggest songs but you also sing them by yourself, thereby creating a somewhat original content.
it is also good to highlight thst it was nice to see you sing, your voice was calm and gave that country song vibe!
great Job!

Thank you! It's quite tough to get through 3 songs in one go with hopefully only minor mistakes... but it is a good challenge!

Very nice, man! I do like Simon & Garfunkel but I must admit I'm not familiar with much of their work so thanks for introducing me to some new music!

Tight playing too!

Thank you so much @jasperdick! You are good with the guitar. I enjoyed every bit of your performance. But I enjoyed most your powerful vocal strength...

A nice treat with a trio of tunes from Simon and Garfunkel who I always enjoy and I am delighted to hear that we will get another set at some stage and some Paul Simon too, excellent stuff..

The Boxer is some classic and such a great chorus to sing along to as you say. For Emily Whenever I May Find Her is a beautiful song and one of my favourites, you did it really well too, fair play.

Oh good! I'm glad you like them!! I think tomorrow I might do something a little more South African?
