¡3 canciones para empezar la semana con energía! | Afrobeat | [ESP | ENG]
¡Bienvenidos de vuelta a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi clásica reseña de los días lunes donde les sugieron algunas canciones para comenzar la semana con energía; cada semana coloco una temática particular en la cuál baso toda la reseña, la que seleccioné para esta semana es el género Afrobeat, el cuál es un género que deriva de la música africana y el dancehall, lo cuál lo vuelve un ritmo magnífico para las personas que les gusta bailar.
Toda mi vida he sido fanático del Afrobeat y particularmente siento que pronto voy a componer mis propios temas del género ya que me fascina tanto escucharlo como cantarlo y bailarlo sin importar si es en inglés o en español.
Así que, sin más que agregar, comencemos con mi reseña de hoy.
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you my classic Monday review where I suggested some songs to start the week with energy; every week I post a particular theme on which I base the whole review, the one I selected for this week is the Afrobeat genre, which is a genre that derives from African music and dancehall, which makes it a great rhythm for people who like to dance.
All my life I've been a fan of Afrobeat and I particularly feel that soon I will compose my own songs of the genre as I love to listen, sing and dance to it no matter if it is in English or Spanish.
So, without further ado, let's get started with today's review.
1.- Big Soto, Micro TDH - Lloro
Comienzo mi reseña con este tema que me fascinó desde el primer momento en el que lo escuché; a pesar de que no soy muy fanático del tipo de música que hace Big Soto, si lo soy del trabajo que realiza Micro TDH, ambos son artistas muy buenos que en este momento están representando a la nueva escuela de la música urbana de mi país (Venezuela) de una manera bastante épica.
Esta canción salió como colaboración en el nuevo disco de Big Soto el cuál se conoce con el nombre «The Good Trip» (El Buen Viaje) y debo admitir que desde que le di click al botón de «play» me sentí atrapado por esta canción por la debilidad que tengo por el género y me lo pude imaginar hasta bailando una coreografía urbana con bastante energía con ese tema de fondo, vale bastante la pena escucharlo y aunque la letra realmente no es tan profunda siento que la melodía es bastante envolvente.
I start my review with this track that fascinated me from the first moment I heard it; although I'm not a big fan of the kind of music that Big Soto does, I am a fan of the work that Micro TDH does, both are very good artists who are currently representing the new school of urban music in my country (Venezuela) in a pretty epic way.
This song came out as a collaboration on Big Soto's new album which is known by the name "The Good Trip" and I must admit that since I clicked the "play" button I felt trapped by this song because of the weakness I have for the genre and I could imagine him even dancing an urban choreography with enough energy with that theme in the background, it is quite worth listening to it and although the lyrics are not really that deep I feel that the melody is quite enveloping.
2.- Chris Brown - Questions
Para nadie es un secreto que Chris Brown es uno de los mejores artistas de cualquier tipo de género bailable, sin importar si es pop, r&b, dancehall o el mismo afrobeat y en esta canción lo deja más que claro, pues más allá de su gran nivel como cantante, como bailarín es simplemente excepcional.
Traje esta canción a relucir porque tiene un formato muy particular que me pareció súper interesante desde el primer momento que la escuché; recuerdo haber visto este estreno en Youtube cuando estuve buscando música nueva y desde el primer momento que le di click al botón de «play» siento que mi cerebro explotó, sobretodo viendo el vídeo en combinación con la canción y creo que lo más épico de todo, es el hecho de que dura bastante poco pues no llega ni a los 2 minutos con 15 segundos, entonces te hace querer más y por ende, terminas volviendo a escucharla por lo menos un par de veces más.
It's no secret that Chris Brown is one of the best artists of any kind of dance genre, no matter if it's pop, r&b, dancehall or even afrobeat and in this song he makes it more than clear, because beyond his great level as a singer, as a dancer he is simply exceptional.
I brought this song up because it has a very particular format that I found super interesting from the first moment I heard it; I remember seeing this premiere on Youtube when I was looking for new music and from the first moment I clicked the "play" button I feel that my brain exploded, especially seeing the video in combination with the song and I think the most epic of all, is the fact that it lasts very little because it does not even reach 2 minutes and 15 seconds, so it makes you want more and therefore, you end up going back to listen to it at least a couple of times more.
3.- Tory Lanez - LUV
Tory Lanez es un artista nacido en la ciudad de Brampton, Canada, tiene un talento épico y una voz muy aguda que lo ha llevado a hacer temas muy pegajosos y a través del uso del autotune para darle ese toque metalizado a su voz ha creado música muy comercial en diversos géneros como el rap, r&b, dancehall, etc.
En este caso, esta canción me la mostró mi hermano menor y me hizo expandir muchísimo mi lista de reproducción pues en ese momento no escuchaba mucha música en inglés de este género, así que fue totalmente perfecto para comenzar a abrir mi mente ante artistas de otro tipo, con otras matices y colores en la voz.
Tory Lanez is an artist born in the city of Brampton, Canada, has an epic talent and a very sharp voice that has led him to make very catchy songs and through the use of autotune to give that metallic touch to his voice has created very commercial music in various genres such as rap, r & b, dancehall, etc..
In this case, this song was shown to me by my younger brother and it made me expand my playlist a lot because at that time I didn't listen to much music in English of this genre, so it was totally perfect to begin to open my mind to other artists, with other nuances and colors in the voice.
Bonus Track - Aya Nakamura - Djaja
Si hay algo que amo muchísimo en la vida son los idiomas y particularmente, además del inglés, me fascina el francés y lo estoy aprendiendo en este momento y durante mi travesía aprendiendo este hermoso idioma me topé con un tema que se viralizó muchísimo de una artista africana conocida como Aya Nakamura, y resulta que el tema estaba en francés, así que decidí escucharlo.
Lo que más pude notar es que tiene muchas fusiones de género pues realmente se acerca más a lo que se conoce como Afropop pero sigue perteneciendo a la definición de Afrobeat porque sigue teniendo los elementos de todas las derivaciones que este género tiene (jazz, r&b, soul, etc), y en definitiva es un tema que cualquier podría ponerse a escuchar en un momento en el que quieras bailar algo relajado, podría ser en la playa, con un par de tragos.
If there is something I love very much in life are languages and particularly, besides English, I love French and I'm learning it right now and during my journey learning this beautiful language I came across a track that went viral a lot from an African artist known as Aya Nakamura, and it turns out that the track was in French, so I decided to listen to it.
What I could notice the most is that it has many genre fusions because it really is closer to what is known as Afropop but still belongs to the definition of Afrobeat because it still has the elements of all the derivations that this genre has (jazz, r&b, soul, etc), and ultimately is a track that anyone could put to listen at a time when you want to dance something relaxed, it could be on the beach, with a couple of drinks.
