I've sort of found my level with Twitter. You're absolutely right about it - there are times I fall down the rabbit hole and it does my psyche no good at all. But on the whole - I think I'm OK with it.

Facebook, though. I stopped using it for months. Didn't quite go as far as to delete it, but I went back and the whole experience had got so much worse. From the UI being a mess, through to the constant nudgenudgenudge to stay on and/or given them some ad revenue. I have no desire to go back, really - but it is the best way I can keep in touch with some family/friends - and I don't want to lose that. There's a couple of nice groups on there as well.

So I've promised myself that I would go in and lock it down so tight that I can jump in and keep in touch with people I care about without getting all stabby. 😉 We'll see if that's possible - I've anecdotally heard others have done it with a couple of useful extensions. We'll see.

I'm just going to be spending time away from the distractions as it seems one can so easily fall down some horrible rabbit holes. I'm now just finding some solace on YouTube actually, seems there's quite a lot of music on there I've been looking for :)

I have removed my personal FB page and just set up an anon account just so I could keep the music page but man, even that is shit! I'll probably see how much I've "missed it" in the next few months and if not, close it for good.

Hope you don't get stabbed! Get your social media Kevlar on!
