Elusive Exclusive #4 - Flying Back

avatar

Over the last few months, I've been able to provide tracks exclusively for different compilation albums.

I thought I'd do a little run of my tracks that are exclusively available via other projects, as opposed to self-released as normal.

It's always nice to have something you've created included in something someone else has done. In truth, it's really easy and cheap to release your own tracks. And I don't mind admitting that imposter syndrome is something I battle with often. Especially when I listen to the quality of stuff my peers are making.

So when the call came out from Bad Bat Records that they were putting together a compilation, supporting a great charity - I was excited to get something together, but still nervous that what I did may not make the grade.

This compilation was put together with the idea of a single word being the catalyst for inspiration. Artists were given the word ascension and were asked to create a piece of music based on the connotations that this word generated for them. This is the result.
All sales will be donated to the Beirut Emergency Appeal by the Red Cross.

And the compilation is packed with great music. Thankfully, the track I submitted, a piece called Flying Back, was deemed fit to include. I'm proud that it sits alongside the other music on this one.

It's a stately piece, with some lovely full synth sounds - and another Orbital (or maybe FSOL) influence I think with the vocal sample.

It's another Bandcamp only release, so to have a listen click here
