Rock bands that I love 🎸 [ENG/ESP]
Este post está escrito en dos idiomas y dividido para facilitar la lectura.
Crecí rodeada de músicos y de personas que amaban la música también. Tuve la dicha de considerarme una niña de los 80's pese a que nací en los 2000's ya que fue la crianza que recibí por parte de mis familiares. Básicamente mi hermano y yo fuimos catadores de cualquier tipo de música durante toda nuestra vida, dónde siempre reinó en su mayoría el rock.
Siempre me parece divertido contar ésta historia, pero inclusive mi mamá fue al concierto de los Guns N' Roses en Caracas y, la emoción con la cuál cuenta aquella anécdota es como si tu también la estuvieses viviendo.
Hoy les hablaré de 4 de aquellas bandas que más han marcado mi vida y de las cuáles aún, a día de hoy, sigo escuchando sin descanso.
Aerosmith
Conocí la banda de Aerosmith apenas cuando tenía 13 años y, no paso ni un sólo segundo de mi vida que no dejase de escucharlos. Una banda sin duda alguna excepcional. Joe Perry cumplía un trabajo importantísimo como guitarrista principal y, lo cierto es que me gustaba mucho su forma de tocar la misma.
Aerosmith, tan mítica por la voz de Steven Tyler, esa que de forma inevitable te deja hipnotizado y no puedes dejar de escuchar ni una sola de sus canciones. El éxito que ha mantenido ésta banda no es para nada una sorpresa, el estilo de su música, sus letras y además, la energía que trasmitían en cada una de sus presentaciones les han valido para dejar un gran legado en la música.
Foo Fighters
Ustedes no se imaginan lo agradecida que estoy por el hecho de que ésta banda exista, es que son realmente todo. Recuerdo que mi hermano y yo repetíamos durante todo el día todos los CDs que tuviésemos en la colección de ellos.
La voz de Dave Grohl es otra de las que me permito admirar sin descanso y, debo de confesar que es por culpa de Taylor Hawkins (y también de Travis Barker) que en mí haya nacido esa necesidad de aprender a tocar la batería, lo cuál logré medianamente. El estilo de Foo Fighters es irremplazable y, en cualquier lugar que los escuches sabes identificarlo, sin tener la necesidad de escuchar la voz de Dave siquiera.
Blink 182
Es momento de confesar públicamente que lloré cuando Tom se fue de la banda, fue algo insólito, desde entonces no he escuchado nada nuevo que haya trabajado Blink 182, prefiero quedarme con mis buenos recuerdos.
Desde muy pequeña escucho Blink 182, ésta es oficialmente mi banda favorita de todo el género, he pensado inclusive en tatuarme el logo en algún punto de mi vida. Su música es increíble, si, pero el estilo de Travis en la batería es algo absolutamente majestuoso, es como si viniese de un mundo subalterno de músicos ese ser.
Hace poco me enteré que Mark Hoppus anunció que tenía cáncer, ha sido un golpe bajo para la banda, sólo espero que las cosas tengan un buen desenlace.
System of a Down
Sólo puedo decir, increíble. Todos los CDs de ésta banda me parecen increíbles, aunque no soy un crítico de música, la sátira de cada de una de sus canciones las hacía sin duda alguna, algo digno de querer escuchar. Siempre es divertido encontrar a bandas que se burlen del sistema en el cuál vivimos, como lo es en el caso de la canción Chic 'N' Stu, donde queda muy evidenciada que su burla se dirige a la sociedad consumista que trabaja o vive en función al bombardeo publicitario: compra, compra, compra.
Y una vez más, yo hablando de las voces. Serj Tankian un maestro con su voz y el emblema de la banda. 💚

I grew up surrounded by musicians and people who loved music as well. I was lucky enough to consider myself a child of the 80's even though I was born in the 2000's because that was the upbringing I received from my family. Basically my brother and I were music tasters of all kinds of music throughout our lives, where rock always reigned supreme.
I always find it funny to tell this story, but even my mom went to the Guns N' Roses concert in Caracas and the emotion with which she tells that anecdote is as if you were living it too.
Today I will tell you about 4 of those bands that have marked my life the most and of which I still, to this day, continue to listen to without rest.
Aerosmith
I met the band Aerosmith just when I was 13 years old and, not a single second of my life went by that I didn't stop listening to them. A band without a doubt exceptional. Joe Perry had a very important job as lead guitarist and I really liked the way he played.
Aerosmith, so mythical because of Steven Tyler's voice, the one that inevitably leaves you hypnotized and you can't stop listening to any of their songs. The success that this band has maintained is not at all a surprise, the style of their music, their lyrics and also, the energy they transmitted in each of their presentations have allowed them to leave a great legacy in music.
Foo Fighters
You can't imagine how grateful I am for the fact that this band exists, they really are everything. I remember my brother and I would replay every CD we had in their collection all day long.
Dave Grohl's voice is another one that I allow myself to admire endlessly and, I must confess that it is because of Taylor Hawkins (and also Travis Barker) that I felt the need to learn how to play the drums, which I managed to do. Foo Fighters' style is irreplaceable and, wherever you listen to them, you can identify it, without even having to listen to Dave's voice.
Blink 182
It's time to publicly confess that I cried when Tom left the band, it was something unusual, since then I haven't listened to anything new that Blink 182 has worked on, I prefer to keep my good memories.
I've been listening to Blink 182 since I was very little, this is officially my favorite band of the whole genre, I've even thought about getting the logo tattooed at some point in my life. Their music is amazing, yes, but Travis' drumming style is something absolutely majestic, it's like he comes from a subaltern world of musicians that being.
I recently found out that Mark Hoppus announced he had cancer, it's been a low blow for the band, I just hope things have a good outcome.
System of a Down
I can only say, amazing. All of this band's CDs seem incredible to me, although I'm not a music critic, the satire of each of their songs made them without a doubt, something worth listening to. It is always fun to find bands that make fun of the system in which we live, as it is in the case of the song Chic 'N' Stu, where it is very evident that their mockery is directed to the consumerist society that works or lives according to the advertising bombardment: buy, buy, buy.
And once again, me talking about the vocals. Serj Tankian a master with his voice and the emblem of the band. 💚

En general me gusta todas las bandas que mencionas, pero por excelencia me encanta Pearl Jam, puedo escuchar todos sus discos y no me canso.
