I'm not so oft the cook,
never ever by the book.
but this task I undertook
want my recipe?
come have a look.
in a jiffy get that chicken
from the deep freeze
chop some onions,
grind ginger and garlic please
lots of fresh coriander,
pinch of assorted Indian spices
all ground in that mixer
with elan and finesse
now marinate the cuckoo bird
in this mix add oodles of yogurt
a hint of lemon could never hurt
patience is the key ,mark every word
boil some rice with salt and in equal water
now brown those onions and scatter
half of them on the marination
rest is for the final coronation
get a black bottomed vessel with a cover
set the rice in the bottom layer
pour the marinated goods and i must mention,
do sprinkle on top the rest of the onions
now fasten belts on your taste buds,prepare for the joy ride
close the lid,seal it with fresh dough,there's precious steam inside
ten minutes on high then five on low flame
the tingling aroma tells you, you won the game!
the true pleasure lies in the joys of the fed
and the taste of it all is best left unsaid!
