Today is Monday...ofcourse the start of the week..where you still wish it was the weekend. Anyway I was working from home today, got a few steps in but not much. Going to the office tomorrow..will be driving so probably won't get that many steps in

In light of their pay-for-votes scheme and their spam, I may soon decide to downvote posts from people that vote for the @earn.hive witness to change the economics of such a vote. Witness votes should be for trustworthy, competent people that will keep the Hive network running and decentralized, giving value to your stake. A witness account that is a scheme to give kickbacks to its voters introduces perverse incentive and should be treated as a parasite.
Its barely worth my while anyway I can remove it if you feel so passionate about it, but threatening down votes for voting for a witness is just as bad if not worse than voting for a witness.. you need to reflect on that too.
Exactly. It's an economic decision. If it costs you more to vote, it's discouraged. I wouldn't normally do this for a particular witness I didn't like, but this is a parasite. What other effective method of limiting its growth would you propose?

Got it. My intent was to give notice. But it could also be taken as a threat. Schemes like the one we're talking about have been allowed to fester elsewhere and I don't think it results in a good set of DPoS block producers. So my intent is to disincentivize this near its start.
