Long run - My Actifit Report Card: February 22 2020
I started the day with a long run - 18.6 kms. I received an email two days ago from the race organisers of the six foot track marathon - the event I’m training for, which is on in three weeks. Unfortunately there is a good chance that the event will be cancelled due to the impact bushfires and subsequent storms have had on the track and the road leading into Jenolan caves where the race finishes. This would be bitter-sweet for me. Bitter as it’s an event I’ve wanted to run in for years now. Sweet as I’m behind where I need to be in my training. Anyways I will find out the decision in the next couple of weeks.
This photo has nothing to do with my run - I took it when we went out shopping later on. It’s a mural for a bar nearby. I hadn’t seen it before so presumably it’s new. I love the lucky cat!
