My Actifit Report Card: July 14 2021
I did a bit of disc golf putting practice after dinner and then went out and played a round with my son after he got home. We played at our favorite eighteen basket course.
I threw too understable a disc into the wind and put it into the river on hole eight. I had not done that recently so I was feeling a bit too confident and was trying to birdie the basket when I should have been playing for par.
My son went down to the river and spotted a Sexton Firebird close to the bank so he went into the river. He managed to recover four discs but none of them were mine. The Firebird and one other disc had no name on them. My son was really happy to get the Firebird.
I might still get mine back because my name was on it. If we have time tomorrow we might look in the river one more time when the light is better.
At least I ended up winning the round with a -1 score to a +4.
There was someone on the course who kind of followed us around a bit. He seemed friendly but seemed to be down on his luck. After the round was over he was sitting right by our car and wanted to get a ride. We were both pretty hesitant so my son took over and said we lived far away. He didn't push us for a ride after that.
I usually don't give rides to people but I do feel like doing something for them.
