My Actifit Report Card: July 8 2021

We played disc golf at our favorite local eighteen basket course. I did not do as well as yesterday but I stilled ended up with a win by one point with a +2 score.

I got my PDGA kit today for registering as an amateur disc golfer. There was a really nice looking MVP Relay disc in the kit. It has ended up on the top of my desk along with a spare Fireball disc for now.

The Relay has a really nice looking turtle graphic on it and it is almost too pretty to throw. It is also a bit light at 156 grams. I suspect this disc is going to out flip my flippy 169 gram Crave disc. I will have to toss it around a bit but I'm not sure if it is going to find its way into my bag. I do like lighter discs in this speed rating so I will have to see how it flies.

I like to use lighter discs like these instead of midrange discs for some longer place throws. The lighter weight makes it easier to power down a lot and still get the disc to the target. I've noted that the harder I throw a disc the less reliably I can make it go where I want it to. Really light discs are a lot more difficult to control in the wind though but they have less ground action and generally stay closer to where they land.

There was also a really nice mini marker disc which I will be making use of.

This pond was at the disc golf course in the Colorado mountains where we recently played at 8 thousand feet or so:

I liked the way the trees looked in the reflections in the water.

Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.

The disc was black correct? What's your PDGA number?

The disc has a black rim and white interior with a really nice turtle graphic on it. I'm actually hesitant to share my PDGA number on the Hive blockchain just in case Hive hits $100 or something, lol. Perhaps if the world turns into a warm and fuzzy place or unicorns start farting rainbows or something I might change my mind. :D

It sure was a gorgeous place to play and a very fun disc golf course. I will have to make it back there someday.
