My Actifit Report Card: May 29 2021

I was a bit tired out today and did not do as much. There is still a lot left to do in the yard so I did a bit more gardening.

I did a short practice round of disc golf at the local nine basket course. I parked a couple of baskets with my Axiom Insanity control driver but the wind was giving me a little bit of an issue for the rest of the course.

I was playing with just three discs and had a fourteen speed distance driver as well. This disc really did not help me much on the course. I don't remember it being so flippy. It made a nice unintentional roller on one of the holes. I ended up putting it back on the shelf, at least until it gets a bit less windy. If I throw it right I can really get some distance with this disc but I need a lot of room to work with.

I'm still trying to limit my use of distance drivers just a bit. My son loaned my a Thunderbird fairway driver for fun. I can throw this disc a long way but it is glossy black so I have a really hard time finding it. I can be twenty feet away from it and not see it. I'm thinking of giving it back to him for this reason but I might throw it for a bit longer.

A flowering bush as photographed today:

I like this time of year because of all the nice flowers.

The flowering bush is a rhododendron, they are such a beautiful bush and come in so many colors! There is no bad color! I like them because the blooms last for a long time.

Too bad the disc is black, that is no fun when you cannot see where things are, so much easier to lose. The weather should be calming down with the winds, yes? I know the summer is less wind here.

The first time in a long time I didn't see over 10,000 steps!

I am the first to admit I am not the best on flower identification. I have a hard time with rhododendrons and azaleas. I am leaning towards azaleas coz the leaves look thinner than the rhododendrons.

Nope you won by default. According to the above article: "The thing to remember is all azaleas are rhododendrons but not all rhododendrons are Azaleas. Azaleas are in the genus Rhododendron."

Well done.

I already knew that, but, nobody likes a know-it-all.
