My Actifit Report Card: May 2 2021

I had a lot of fun today playing the last round of the spring league disc golf. It was a really tough course. I scored a couple of points better than the first time I played it four weeks ago.

I ended up finishing in a tie for third for the round and in second place overall for the eight weeks of league play.

Today's round went pretty well but I had some troubles with a couple of holes. On one of them I went out of bounds on the cart path and could not recover well. On another hole I threw what looked like a good throw but it stayed high and went right into a tree and did not drop back down. Usually the trees on the course will drop a disc through but there was some kind of dense looking nest like stuff in the tree. I had to re-tee so I ended up with a bad score on that hole too.

I figured my favorite Crave disc was going to be a nest liner for a raptor bird or squirrel or something so I ordered a new one this evening. They are kind of hard to find in the plastic and weight that I wanted. I still have two of them but they are less stable than the one I lost and I really throw them a lot.

I must not be woke up yet. I was reading comments from over night, thought I hadn't voted the post and voted my own comment instead. Then it wouldn't let me take it back ! I don't think I've ever done that before. LOL ! Jeepers, I need to wake up !

I won't fault you for voting your own comment up, lol. Sometimes you need to push it up the stack to get some extra attention - maybe being half asleep your subconscious mind took over. 😃

It is hard to recover. Much like a poker player that has a stunningly bad round can compound it by going "on tilt" and playing poorly and not coming back from a bad round.

It certainly can go from bad to worse if you don't recover from a bad throw. The mental aspect of the game is very important.
