My Actifit Report Card: April 26 2021

My son and I played a couple of rounds of disc golf this afternoon at our favorite course. The weather was really nice with some sunshine drying up the recent rain. I was playing really easy and not throwing too hard. It felt like my arm was really happy with my playing. I scored a +4 and +5 for the rounds, which is on the high side but not all that bad for me.

I've been missing a lot of easier putts lately and combining that with shorter drives means my score is not as good. I'm not too worried about it though and focusing mostly on getting my throw working very smoothly and without too much stress on my arm. Usually that helps my distance and it certainly helps my acuracy.

Not much else was going on today.

It is nice to see the Hive price back up. I'm not sure what that is about though.

I think the entire crypto market might have had some issue based on Biden (possibly?) raising the capital gains tax. Maybe some people were cashing out before the increase or something. I don't know any of the details but is sounds like the top 50% (or so) capital gains tax will only go to people who are making more than a million a year.

I'm not sure if capital gains tax really effects the ultra wealthy much. If you have a lot of capital you could probably just borrow money against your capital and never have to cash out any of your assets and pay capital gains tax. Or you could stash your funds someplace like the Panama Papers revealed. As a corporation I've heard Luxemburg has been a nice location for a corporate tax haven.

Some of these people have more money than they will normally be able to spend in the average human lifespan anyway, lol.

Maybe I'm just dumb as a brick but I'm not sure why the government bothers taxing people. It seems like they could just continue to debase the dollar like usual and then give some basic income payments to everyone. If they got their spending in order what could possibly go wrong? LOL.
