We played a round of disc golf this morning at our favorite course. There were a couple of friends there just starting out on hole one when we arrived. The four of us played a round together.
My son ended up wining and my friend came in second. He was really playing a lot better both on drives and putts. It is wonderful to see someone really improve in his game.
I played okay but was struggling a bit with being distracted by all the new discs and not having discs I know well in the bag. It takes me a long time to get the feel of a disc and there is a limited amount of discs you can bag. If your taking along new discs you don't know well that prevents you from having discs in the bag that improve your game.
I find it fun to practice a lot with a variety of discs. If you really want to improve your game it does seem like it is better not to spread yourself out to thin on too many different types of discs though.
Yesterday's picture from one of the tougher eighteen hole disc golf courses around here:
My son threw his disc in the above pictured lake by accident a while ago. Sometimes the wind will get under a throw and take it way off the fairway on those longer distance throws.
