I got my friends car fixed today by having to buy some fuses that are not the correct ones. The auto parts stores couldn't supply the correct fuses and even the car dealer couldn't supply the fuses in a decent time frame. So I bought fuses with the same rating and close in size and had to trim them to fit.
In this picture below the original fuse type and the new non correct fuse underneath.
I replaced all three of the smaller fuses as one had cracked completely and was coursing the car to intermittently stop. The second one was about half way cracked and the third was still okay.
The first two fuses replaced in this photo.
