Hey guys and thanks for stopping by!
Late spring into summer; summer into fall; late fall- all are seasons of blooming here in the Northwest. I am amazed at the amount of blooming things we have and the longevity of the seasons! The first picture is of one of two types of stinging nettle that grows along Bear Hollow. While the other variety has no real flowers, this one does. The leaves are a bit more elongated than the other variety. Stinging nettle grows in an over abundance that I wish it did not have. Curiously I’ve noticed it does not grow under the cedar tree forest but does under the canopy of deciduous trees. I’ve not researched to find out why, but I’d be willing to bet it’s soil nutrients or PH or maybe both.
I canceled going to ladies Bible study today as I’ve been severely run down and stressed out lately. I slept in for over 8 glorious hours! It was nice!
I did some dishes and upon completing that task, set about pulling music for this Sunday’s worship set. After fixing @silvertop’s lunch, we then set about setting up for practice (so much equipment, lol) and then ran through the set. It went so smoothly that he asked if we had actually gotten through all the songs! 😁
We then headed out for a hike just us two today. Jan had to drive a van for the school and wasn’t able to come along.
So much to look at! Shadows at every turn! Some very defined and some softer.
We decided just to go to Towhee Ridge so I had time to come back and pot my African violet starts. Once that was done, I headed out to do a bit of garden maintenance. I also helped @silvertop get the mini split outside unit in place.
I’m feeling a bit more rested and at peace this evening. Tomorrow is my ‘Monday’ for work, but it will be what it is. No need to stress over tomorrow. On an exciting note-this coming Saturday is the day the crew from Google Street View is coming to shoot the clinic. It should be an interesting day!
@actifit-lamb reminds us to get our hooves movin’ and keep on steppin’!
