Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by today!
The day began with me heading out to ladies Bible study this morning. The weather that greeted me was a rain drenched world with the winds beginning. The forecast was for a wind warning today. That usually means downed trees and power outages, but I was praying for a different outcome. The study was interesting and good.
I got home and fixed us some lunch and coffees. We were to hike at 3 pm with Jan. Around 2:30, she called to say they were in Bellingham and it didn’t look like they were going to get back in time for her to go with us.
@silvertop and myself headed out. The wind was blowing pretty good, and I have to tell you I’m not much of a fan hiking out in the forest during a wind storm. You never know when you might have a close encounter with a tree!😳 Up we headed, and there are already a few trees that are blown over from previous storms, hanging precariously at 45 degrees and waiting for that perfect gust of wind to create the catalyst for it to fall the rest of the way. We don’t tarry and always keep our eyes on those trees.
We got up to Buckhorn Loop and stopped at the bench there. Today was a mother/daughter day out, so @actifit-lamb was the only one with me. We sat on the bench enjoying the view together.
Then she wanted to see what the view was like behind us, so she maneuvered around to get in my hood for a look-see.
We are working on coats for her and the gang as winter is approaching and they need to stay warm!
I found some new mushrooms/fungi growing today. It always amazes me how delicate they can be.
Jan met us in Bear Hollow, as she did make it home before we got done. We headed on down and this was the view just before we reached the house.
