My Actifit Report Card: August 13 2020
Hi everybody and thanks for stopping by!
I got to work at 8 AM today so I’d have an hour to finish up the orders from yesterday before my video conference at 9 AM. After that was over, I had plenty to do; billing for the doc from the other place he does exams; verifying insurance, reminder calls and making sure all the charts for tomorrow are ready. Plus the normal clinic traffic, both phone and in person and a host of other things as well. A busy and productive day for me. Tomorrow is looking to be super busy as well.
After getting home and indulging in a mocha, we set out for a hike. Once again, it was a perfect summer evening. Even better, I only got bit by a couple of mosquitos rather than being the usual dinner bell that I am for them, lol! Could it be their reign is finally over in the forest? I’m hopeful......
Up along the trail to the off grid cabin, there is this butterfly bush that I thought had died this year. However, it showed signs of life, and sure enough, it’s now blooming. That is the pic behind the Fitbit stats along with Mr. Bee as he seeks the nectar from the purple flowers.
Along the upper trail are some fallen trees which is where @actifit-lamb wanted today’s photo taken.
We stopped at the bench on the Bear Hollow trail to make an entry in the book. Just as we turned to leave, I spied the pretty little green plant with very red berries. Not knowing what it was, I launched my PlantSnap app to find out.
It is called Achaea rubra also known as Red Baneberry. The berries which look scrumptious, are in fact very poisonous. All parts of this plant are poisonous but the berries and roots more so. 1 or 2 berries can make you very sick. Children are more susceptible to its toxins. Not safe for pets. It is beautiful but deadly.
It soon will be time for bed. I am ready as I’m tired tonight.

Thanks for sharing the knowledge about the berry and the app. Gonna download the app so next time if I find some new plants I would know what they are.
It works well; it hasn't gotten it right 100% of the time, but there are other plants it will list that are similar, and I've found that the plant, if it misses, is usually in that list. It is pretty cool! Take care!
